  1. I thought this was a predictions thread, not yet another one talking about all things Poole!
  2. It's fair to say he's not liked by a lot of Aussies, as Poole generally have a few it may well be down to that. Anyway if Poole rated him I highly doubt they'd have dropped him and he's now had a season out of racing, hope he's not the last signing.
  3. Incorrect on all counts, I was in Plymouth at the weekend to see the mighty greens down Morecambe!
  4. Agreed, injuries and machinery issues have plagued him but at Plymouth especially he's a very good rider. Hope he can stay fit and bring good equipment to the table.
  5. For the love of god, no! He's bang average at Plymouth and crap away. We should be nowhere near him if we have aspirations. Roynon would be good at Plymouth but I worry about his injuries which puts you back at square one. A new 4 pointer would be good but I imagine the promotion are looking to keep costs down hence going all British so far.
  6. Great lad, always good to give local riders like trigger a chance but the remaining two are going to have to be brilliant signings to allow us to carry him (in the early part of the season at least).
  7. I think the original post may be down to other previous incidents involving Barker throughout his career. He's upset plenty in his time! Take away the 'off track' Barker and focusing purely 'on track' he's dynamite at Plymouth and can still do a decent job on most away tracks. He was always returning. Be interesting to see how he comes back from last seasons debacle.
  8. I really don't think Ben Morley on that average with that bottom end is the right move. Hopefully someone like Kemp but could see a former Plymouth rider like Newman or Starke get the nod.
  9. Kemp could be a dark horse! Would be happy if he came to Plymouth.
  10. Howarth to Plymouth announced on Plymouth Facebook this evening
  11. Is that really a relevant question to the statement I made about being potentially too weak at the bottom end? It's not is it! Stop trying to pick a fight and create needle over nothing.
  12. Not a shock by any account and a top rider, entertaining and never gives up. Really good signing! My only concern is what we do at the bottom end. With Barker an obvious signing it would make the total 28.68 for the top four, leaving just 11.32 for three riders. I fear we may end up too weak at the bottom end, lets see what's next.
  13. Alfie will do fine for Brum, gutted Plymouth didn't bring him back as I think he'd be a top reserve. Might be a tough ask for him to be in the main body from day dot though especially at a new home track. That being said he's a top lad and I wish him all the best. He'll almost certainly top score for the Brummies when they come to Plymouth that's for sure.
  14. Think the Brummies should go with a 6 pointer and 2 pointer given what they have signed up already. As someone has said they really lack heat winners away and at home I see teams with three decent heat leaders and a half decent reserve turning them over. If as mentioned they are looking at a couple more 4 pointers it's in essence two heat leaders and five reserves and those two heat leaders only win if they gate. Wright is imo a poor signing on that average, he's far from the rider he once was and Nielsen (as much as I like the lad) just hasn't progressed in a number of seasons. Hope I'm wrong but don't see this Brummies team doing much so far.
  15. Absolutely loved the set up at the old Oak Tree Arena and really miss my trips there. It would be great to welcome the Rebels back into the fold! All the very best of luck to the new venture
  16. Very, very good talent. If he can regain the form he showed when he got injured, his starting average will be significantly improved upon. Delighted this one is now confirmed.
  17. Take out Morley and I don't think you'll be far away although I think Alfie is off to pastures new.
  18. Christ alive will Scunny ever learn! Another season of averaging 7 at home and 2 away then.
  19. Nothing formal announced for Plymouth as yet, strong rumours, but then if we went off all rumours our team would be 25 strong. Would absolutely take him though if it worked out. As for Morris, a good number one who is a consistent eater, be stunned if he maintains that average though.
  20. Not when I've seen him he doesn't. If he doesn't gate he has never done much from the back. Every time he went to Plymouth he'd given up before heat 1.
  21. Trigger will no doubt be a good rider, not ready for Championship yet though.
  22. Want him back at Plymouth as he goes well at home and was improving away. His starting average is also really good value. Would be a really strong reserve imo.
  23. Hearing murmurs that Alfie Bowtell is Wimborne Road bound...
