Is it my imgination, or did i dream it ?. somewere in the mists of time i seem to remember watching a t.v. programme called Whats my line..and think a speedway rider came on, signed in and did a mime of starting a speedway bike up by pulling up the back wheel....Now i think it was Eric Boocock, or Briggo......please can anyone help. By the way this programme went out in the sixties...........

Hi all My wife has decided it's about time i got rid of all my speedway mags. So as we really do need the space, here goes. I have hundreds of speedway stars from 1974 to 1988, most are complete years, and most are in good condition. ahhhh the memories. Went down to White City, i think it was a bank holiday because we went to Wimbledon for the Embassy Internationale meeting on the night. Anyway think we set of from Hull about 6 in the morning, to get to Wood Lane for lunch time. We hade a quick look at Television Centre then found a little pub over the back of white city for a couple of pints. The main event.....WHITE CITY REBELS V HULL LADA VIKINGS. I remember Mitch Graham emerging from the changing rooms and rearranging the WHITE CITY REBELS boards to read WIT CHITY BERELS ....That was funny after a few pints. I also remember Hull won by about ten point's...also think there was a half point in there aswell. In the second half the top scoring riders rode for the Benidorm Cup........and we won that as well. The hull team was , i think..IVAN,BOBBY BEATON,JOE OWEN,MITCH GRAHAM,MIKE CUROSO,TOM OWEN, FRANK AUFFRET.......AWSOME!. BRILLIANT DAY.

Did any of them ever win a race by a wheel length ?....bet you thought i was going to say nose did'nt you !

isn't mike Paul Thorp's brother in law or something.......if anybody sees paul it might be worth asking
