Leicester v Ipswich 8th June
kevin bass replied to W9 Lion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Like been mentioned before it's no good Doyle and Emil scoring 20-30 points between um every meeting if the remaining 5 riders can't score 15-20. -
So Rew drops a point but Emil on the other hand gains 1.40.
-
Rew was always gonna take time to find his feet and even more so being in the one to 5 rather than at reserve to start with but that's the way the team had to run once they had Doyle/Emil in the team, dunno what the answer is regarding King tho, has been poor the last 2 or 3 meetings and didn't actually score that well for Redcar either in their meeting at Scunthorpe last wk and seemed slow going by the meeting report, the R/S position is another big issue to sort out but i don't believe the young lads should ride in to top league till their at a certain level in the Premier league, you want the lads to push on but they should ride at R/S in premier league only till they find their feet.
-
When Dudek was mentioned as a possibility for Leicester over the winter it was rumoured he wanted summit like 5k or 6k a meeting.
-
On the subject of Bailey it was mentioned on the Scunthorpe v Redcar thread would he want to do a 4th league as he's already riding NDL, Premier plus rides over in Poland in U24 league, you would of thought as he rides alongside King, Hume and Riss when he's fit for Redcar one of um would of had a word with him or put his name forward to Louis as an option at RS.
-
I mentioned Bailey b4 as an option, he started the season slow but seems to be scoring well of late

King’s Lynn v Sheffield 01/06/23
kevin bass replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I was expecting Edwards to be scoring more than he is but he's still one of the better RS available i think, and tbf the ain't really many better options out there as Ipi are finding having Thompson as their RS and pretty much not recording more than the odd point at best most meetings. -

Like said who else is the, we all know the problems Lynn had and Peterborough are having finding/tempting rides over to the UK, and im sure the ain't no budget left for another rider from overseas after signing Doyle/Emil, the RS situation needs addressing first but yet again who's out there worth trying at the mo, obviously it seems Rowe/Kemp ain't flavour of the month for whatever reasons, whilst their carrying a non scoring RS it puts more pressure with extra rides on Hume and even more so if they run R/R also, it's been mentioned he suffers with arm issues after a few rides and you can see his scores tail off more often then not after he's done 4/5 rides. -

It's no good Doyle/Emil scoring 25-30 point's a meeting if the other 5 or 4 plus R/R can't score 20 odd between um, it's fine if King chips in with double figures which he should really regularly at home tbf, and like been said young Joe ain't the answer and it can't be doing his confidence any good just returning the odd point every now and then. -

Masters loves it round Foxhall and knows the quickest way round it, could easily out trap Doyle/Emil and would take some catching. -

Been delayed 30 mins till tennis is done -
Just seen he's only signed a 28 day contract as he's gotta 5 wk break from his Polish league racing, but says he's open to staying longer.
-
Just see on the Scunthorpe thread that Kemp has agreed to sign for them, haps he's worth a call if he's back doing regular UK meetings
-
Don't you go on your own then
-
U sprouted the same sh*t when Emil signed to ride in the UK
-
Sure there was talk close season of Alex Brady possible taking it over, dunno how true it actually was tho.
-
I've not seen Kemps name mentioned in any U24 teams in the last round of fixtures so didn't think he had a place, Liga 2 yeah.
-
Haps Peterborough's big sponsor has jumped ship to Lynn
-
Also i very much doubt the RS point money is anywhere near what Kemp can earn riding in Liga 2 or U24 league in Poland.
-
I'm sure i read it on the Scunthorpe thread that they'd tried to get Kemp to sign for them but he wasn't interested and is gonna give the UK a miss this season and concentrate on his Polish racing.

Camera work is woeful

Kelvin "um err" Tatum needs a side kick.
-
Exactly this, Worrall is doing what he does every year and is a 5.5-6.5 rider at best so holding his own, Cook in his first full season in the top league and Jenkins as the RS are doing what's expected of them generally also, the problem mainly lies with how the team was set up originally, Basso should never of been in a HL role in his second season, number 2 or 4 at best, and Andersen should of been shoehorned in at reserve if they were so keen to have him back again, and the other ageing Dane Iversen is simply past his best sadly as a HL in this league.
-
I'm sure it was stated b4 on the Wolves thread that Nicholls wouldn't/couldn't commit to a 28 day deal coz it would clash with his Eurosport duties and i think it also said when he picks up guest bookings it doesn't impact his average so it's stays at a appealing low 5ish whereas if he signed a 28 day contract his scores would impact on his average, he's certainly a bargain on that average around Wolves if you look at what he's scored for them whilst guesting for Becker.
