Witches v Lynn May 6th 2.15pm
kevin bass replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Track was fine up to heat 6 when rain started and got gradually heavier, it then got worse after heats 7/8, heats 9/10 were pretty much from the gate and spread out -

I know that and most others do, but it may confuse some people is what i was getting at, they see a tapes up time and assume it's tapes up for first race -

Any regular spectators knows the meeting starts at 2.15 for 2.30 first race, same as 7.30 and first race at 7.45 for an evening fixture, i suppose the confusing part is for any newbie/none regular or some away fans is if they check the British Speedway website and it states a tapes up time, yesterday it stated 2.15, the Witches next home match Thurs wk states tapes up at 7.30 -

Not to shabby for a couple of guys both the wrong side of 40, British speedway will be a poorer place when they both finally hang their kevlars up.- 59 replies

Scott has always said he wouldn't or couldn't commit to both leagues once his TV with Eurosport ramped up.

My parents who are both in their early 80's and have had season tickets for a long as i can remember have not bothered getting one this season, they have instead invested in a BSN season ticket and then pick n choose whether they attend a live meeting depending on the weather on the day, can't say i blame um at their age if it's gonna be a cold/wet evening.

Ipswich vs Oxford 18th April
kevin bass replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Im of the same thinking tbf, i think Ipi can afford to carry Jordan atm till he finds his feet, he just needs a spell at reserve to get some confidence, young Dan is picking up decent points home and away and Ellis is doing his bit and like been said their still unbeaten so it ain't all bad. -

Sure i read it somewhere that a 28 day contract doesn't count towards his average same as guesting hence why he had a month at Wolves last season and then stepped in at Birmingham at the start of this season and still retains the same average regardless of his scores -

Witches v Brummies 28th March
kevin bass replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ipi certainly looks stronger on paper compared to last season even tho we all know nowt is ever won on paper, Ellis is an upgrade on Riss and Jenkins should hopefully score as much or more then Hume once he gets to grips with Foxhall, and by the looks of things young Dan has started off on the form he was showing last season before injury cut his season short. -

Decent display from Birmingham considering they were writing off as the leagues whipping boys before a wheel was turned, closer meeting then expected helped by the fact that Emil binned it twice which was very unlike him, hats off to Scotty tho, show's he can still mix it at 45. -

What's the weather doing Ipi way atm, coz im like 15 mile away and it's tipping it down, i know the Ipi trackstaff can turn most wet tracks around but the forecast is to stay like this till early evening at least. -
Is Doyley giving the Aussie Championship a miss this year?

I know young Dan had a good run of form before he got injured and wouldn't mind seeing him back again but what's the chances of Jack Thomas being given another chance if he's fully fit again and wants to return to speedway, i know it could be a risk as you never can tell how he'll return after a season out after a bad injury.
