My parents who are both in their early 80's and have had season tickets for a long as i can remember have not bothered getting one this season, they have instead invested in a BSN season ticket and then pick n choose whether they attend a live meeting depending on the weather on the day, can't say i blame um at their age if it's gonna be a cold/wet evening.

Ipswich vs Oxford 18th April
kevin bass replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Im of the same thinking tbf, i think Ipi can afford to carry Jordan atm till he finds his feet, he just needs a spell at reserve to get some confidence, young Dan is picking up decent points home and away and Ellis is doing his bit and like been said their still unbeaten so it ain't all bad. -

Sure i read it somewhere that a 28 day contract doesn't count towards his average same as guesting hence why he had a month at Wolves last season and then stepped in at Birmingham at the start of this season and still retains the same average regardless of his scores -

Witches v Brummies 28th March
kevin bass replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ipi certainly looks stronger on paper compared to last season even tho we all know nowt is ever won on paper, Ellis is an upgrade on Riss and Jenkins should hopefully score as much or more then Hume once he gets to grips with Foxhall, and by the looks of things young Dan has started off on the form he was showing last season before injury cut his season short. -

Decent display from Birmingham considering they were writing off as the leagues whipping boys before a wheel was turned, closer meeting then expected helped by the fact that Emil binned it twice which was very unlike him, hats off to Scotty tho, show's he can still mix it at 45. -

What's the weather doing Ipi way atm, coz im like 15 mile away and it's tipping it down, i know the Ipi trackstaff can turn most wet tracks around but the forecast is to stay like this till early evening at least. -

Ipswich Witches 2024 serious team predictions

I still wonder if they'll give Jack Thomas another chance rather than young Dan. -

I know young Dan had a good run of form before he got injured and wouldn't mind seeing him back again but what's the chances of Jack Thomas being given another chance if he's fully fit again and wants to return to speedway, i know it could be a risk as you never can tell how he'll return after a season out after a bad injury. -

Hopefully the powers that be will increase the team building average by a point or 2 so Ipi can run with a couple of big hitters again, we can pretty much guarantee that King will be back again i'd of thought tho. -
Congrats to Sheffield, nice to see a fresh name on the throphy, end of the day Ipswich were always gonna struggle if the top 3 didn't score 30 between them as the other 4 riders haven't been good enough all season generally im afraid, end of the day it was a just pleasure to see Emil ride over here for a season.

Belle Vue vs Ipswich play off semi 1st leg
kevin bass replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I hope im wrong but can't see anything other than another Belle Vue win same as both league matches, Doyle scored 13+1 and 14 in those matches and Ipi still came up short, i can't see Harris scoring anything near that tbf. -

Rules seem to be made up as they go along, if it goes ahead later i can see it being damage limitation for the away leg, Harris ain't gonna score no where near what Doyle would and Jack Smith never has done bugger all at this level. -

My daughter lives at Martlesham and she said it hammering down late evening into the early hours and that ain't silly far from the stadium, i'd prefer it was called off so Ipi have Doyle back for both legs rather then have to rely on Harris to cover for Doyle.
