  1. Um no and no, your not missed much, well actually nothing😒
  2. Fair point, but its the old "duffers" as you put it who keep the sport going, year on year more old "duffers" stop going and the aint no younger generation to take their place so it'll go twit's up eventually attendance wise sadly.
  3. Yeah Scotty,Harris,Troy.B, Lawson, King, Cook, Wright and Barker just off the top of my head are all late 30's or 40 plus, there's probably a few more ive missed and all.
  4. And the majority of the riders rocked up in the pits with 1 bike or 2 if they were lucky strapped to the back of a car, and if they had bike problems they'd fall back on the track spare to use, not like now where they all expect sponsored sign written vans with 3 or 4 bikes in the back.
  5. Most of them expect a 6 month season riding speedway to fund their 6 month close season living costs, like been said perhaps they should get a proper job between Oct/Nov thru till Feb/March.
  6. Tbf Thorsell is a steal if he comes in on a 4.50 average but i wouldn't get to carried away, i watched him during the SON for Sweden and yeah if he gated he was fine but if he didn't he didn't make much of a impression during the race, to me he's another Klindt, very much a gating tart, just my opinion obviously🤭
  7. Can't win either way by the sounds of it, not enough heat leaders to go round to run a competitive top league of 5 or more teams, and if the so called one league is mentioned the riders moan and say they can't make it pay and threaten to quit, the sports in a right mess atm.
  8. Haps Adam Roynon is making another comeback.
  9. Tungate was very hit and miss round Foxhall even when he rode there for a few seasons, would still rather see Ellis fitted in somewhere rather then Tungate or even King.
  10. Depends on what reduction he'd get from not riding for years i suppose.
  11. At the end of the day we should all be grateful the fans have a speedway team to watch every other Thursday depending how the fixtures work out what with all the uncertainty over the last few months finding new owners, its gonna be a culture shock for sure not seeing Doyle and Emil round Foxhall every home match tho, we're certainly been blessed over the last 3 seasons watching them regularly, but times change as we all know and nothing lasts forever.
  12. Beat me to it, was thinking the same lol
  13. If its possible only 3 returning and Brennan and Edwards are haps 2 of them, then Jenkins would be the third if his local sponsorship points to a return, that would then put question marks against King/Ellis being back, all rumours naturally.
  14. Not sure Rew is doing UK this season, and prefer to see Lawson in the rather then Tungate, wouldn't be surprised to see Ellis back unless he's lined up for Northampton if it actually happens.
  15. Suppose they could have Lindsey/Lawson/Tungate/Wright for starters.
  16. Jenkins seems a bit injured prone for my liking, had a few to many crashes last season.
  17. Loads of rumours flying about, last one i heard was Lindgren plus Brennan, King, Ellis and Nicholls at reserve with Edwards, plus one other.
  18. Good news not far away then, regarding the No 1 rumours about Woffinden/ Lambert, what's the chance of Lindgren riding over here again, and if so what his average last season.
  19. If Northampton don't happen the might be a few riders without a team, Ipswich can't fit in Brennan, King, Rew, Lawson, Wright, Becker plus an out and out No1, also Tungate and and the Aussie from Belle Vue.
  20. Haps the new owner/owners are still waited to get a No 1 signed up as rumoured earlier in the thread before putting a statement out, and when done so will then make a combined announcement regarding the new full 1-7 and who's now running Ipswich Speedway.
  21. Are TRU PLANT still involved with Sheffield or Ipswich sponsorship wise this coming season.
  22. Not sure if Rew will be back unless the new owners don't mind paying over the odds for him, or he's lowered his demands compared to what he wanted last season, which ended up pricing himself out of a ride at Ipswich.
