  1. Dare I say it but wouldn't Lions be better off with Paul Starke ( 5.08 ) now that he has been released by Belle Vue Aces instead of Todd Kurtz (4.02 ) ? Better rider than Kurtz even though Todd Kurtz did ok the other night and it would also mean Kyle Newman would be back at reserve again ...... gotta be a plus plus move hasn't it ? Cheers
  2. Hopefully Kyle Newman is ok - withdrawn after 1 ride today in the Jon Armstrong Individual Meeting ??? Cheers
  3. Not sure about the match ups - as the riding order will be different? Think the teams will line up as follows .... ?? correct me if I am wrong .... Vaculik v Kurtz - Has to be Kurtz given his form around BP 0-1 Palm Toft v Woryna - Palm Toft given his form and BP 1-1 King v Grajzconek - Not much in it so 1 pt each 2-2 Pieszczek v Sundstrom - KP flying last week Sundstrom never been to BP ? 3-2 Andersen v Kildemand - HA shades it given experience at BP 4-2 Sarjeant v Shanes - Shanes for me as not sure about Sarj yet 4-3 Newman v Szczepaniak - Should be Newman at BP 5-3 Pooles match depends upon the two Poles Woryna who can go well and Saucepan who if he goes well can score from reserve Lions win for me though by 6 points on the night. Cheers
  4. So can't see it anywhere on this theme - but can someone in the know please explain exactly how the Green Sheet Averages ( MA ) are calculated each month as we go through the season? I read from the rules that MAs will be calculated on a rolling basis - ( encompassing which rides - do I assume it is the last 12 months stats including the current month in the 'rolling period' ? Confused is what I am .... Cheers
  5. So we are 2 days away from the first match - albeit a challenge match to blow the cobwebs away as it were - but we still don't know what is happening about a replacement rider for Josh Bates ????? The silence is deafening !!
  6. If todays List of GSAs as issued by the BSPA are correct Lions cannot fit Lasse Bjerre into the side in place of Josh Bates as rumoured to be the case ! List has James Sarjeant as a 3.00 rider ??? not sure where that has come from unless it's Matt Ford ( was a joke ! ) Palm Toft is the man for the role IMO Cheers
  7. Don't think we can fit Lasse Bjerre in can we ? If Bates not ready go for Michael Palm Toft - he rode BP well last year particularly in his last match there ! Cheers
  8. Happy with Hans Andersen if he is the last rider 7.75 ..... If no Bates then a rider up to 6.17 to fill .... ? Cheers
  9. If as expected Vaculik is 9.00 and Pieszczek is 7.00 Lions only have 6.90 to play with .... so KK ? 6.86 or maybe Ricky Wells 6.75 ? If Pieszczek is a 6.00 rider ? then we have 7.90 - Hans Andersen 7.75 ?? Greg Zengota 7.79 ?? ........ Then we need confirmation that Bates is ok ... if not then Michael Palm Toft please.... Regards
  10. Anybody know what GSA James Sarjeant is for 2018 ?
  11. It's all gone very quiet on the Leicester Lions front team-wise for next season ? Anybody any news snippets? Cheers
  12. If Pieszczek is going to be a 7.00 rider then I would go with ... Vaculik 9.00 Bates 5.52 Pieszczek 7.00 King 6.66 Nilsson 7.13 Newman 4.86 AN Other to fit .... 2.33 max Cheers .....
  13. For me - depending on assessed averages etc - would go with Vaculik Nilsson King Riss Bates Newman AN Other to fit .... Would go with King rather than Lasse Bjerre as he is better away from home I reckon ? Once new guys get dialled in we should have a strong side at Beaumont Park .... Cheers
  14. So does anybody know for definite what Martin Vaculik's GSA is for the start of Season 2018 ?
  15. Great signing in Martin Vaculik ! Who next ? Gotta want Kim Nilsson, Michael Palm Toft, Lasse Bjerre or Danny King and Erik Riss - add Josh Bates probably given the Bates connection and someone else that fits whatever the points limit is ? Vaculik because he is box office ... Nilsson is Mr Leicester Lions Palm Toft proved he knows the way around BP King or Lasse Bjerre - King better probably shades it here especially away from home Riss - who better than he especially around BP Josh Bates - connection plus he should get better ANO to fit ? Would maybe have liked Newman at lower end of team but fear he will be Poole bound. Cheers
  16. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see the Car Park Full sign up when I got to BP last night only to then find out about half of it was taken up by THE CIRCUS resident on the ground adjacent to the stadium ... lol !!
  17. Thought Danny King was poor in the meeting but then just watched the TV recording and it seems he was very much under the weather / ill on the night and looked to me as though he was about to 'puke up' straight after his interview after falling off ! So forgiven ......
  18. Couldn't agree more - Michael Palm Toft ought to be one rider on the Lions radar for next season ... he rides Beaumont Park well!!
  19. I agree with the condemnation of a mindless few morons who have apparently issued derogatory and or abusive emails and messages the way of our Promotion but hey you cant let a few idiots spoil the party can you ? Any promotion in it for the long run you would think would be strong enough to not let a few moronic fans get to them to an extent where they sell the business ? I would have hoped they were in it to win it and stay in it as opposed to give up in the face of juvenile mindless social media abuse surely ? Or am I being too simplistic ? Anyways hope the Lions situation is settled quickly and we start the season without a winter of discontent! Cheers
  20. Maybe so but what other line up could they have put then ? Can only go with the team they have got !
  21. Why - what's wrong with the Leicester line up ? Nilsson, King, Riss and Newman all Lions whilst guests needed for Bjerre and Bates as per rules and R/R for Przedpelski was always on the cards Kerr and Heaps on the face of it reasonable guests for two missing riders .... ??
