If the new #1 has an 8+ average then I’ll be happy. Just want us to compete in heats 13 & 15, especially at home. Far too many times in the last couple of years we eked out a 6 point lead after 12 heats only to get blown away at the sharp end. Even when we pulled level in the cup final did anyone have the slightest faith we would win over the last 3 heats? That is a depressing feeling.

3 lapsed fans of my acquaintance would return if we got a genuine, big name, #1 i know the sums need to add up but I think many fans need a hero in the team. A 7.5 point #1 who loses heat 15 every week is never a hero.
