  1. It is a shame. I would love our nearest and dearest to get back to where they were a few years ago. And what happened to that fantastic track you had? Last twice I've been it has been a one line circuit. It was awesome the first couple of years after it opened.
  2. Depends how Lemon and Robson go. Both been off colour recently and being dug out the clarts by the second strings and having Ronan Keating at reserve.
  3. The track was a smooth as a babies bum and there was no passing all night. It is 'roughed up' on the outside to give some grip to allow passing on the outside line given the speed at which riders are entering the corners. Some riders can't cope and so we get their fans on here asking Newcastle to prepare a bald track which leads to dull speedway. Give me 'overwaterd and rough' compared to a blue groove any day
  4. The New National League was PL standard + the Owen brothers
  5. I'd be surprised if the UK sees Nelson again
  6. Match will depend on Nedermark. He should be filling his bank account from reserve.
  7. Awesome heat9 though. Lemon, Henry and the Fish with a napkin covering the 3 of them for the full 4 laps. Worth a fiver of the admission at least.
  8. Does Nedermark have a valid excuse for that score? He should be piling in the points from reserve.
  9. You never seen a tongue in a cheek before? Still, it is D shaped
  10. Never confident of going to Sheffield as it is such a trick track. Hoping to nick a point though
  11. Best - Richie Worrall Worst - the meeting against Workington
  12. Nope. RH weren't making the gate often enough to make it interesting. Our gating tarts were on fire and even the poor gaters like Robbo were hitting the first turn ahead.
  13. Almost too easy. I'm pleased Mellgren was there to at least show some fight in some races for Rye. His 14 should have been 17 as he had seen off Robbo and Lindgren in ht15 before he forgot to turn left on the 4th bend. Can I just say once again, how delighted I am with Christian Henry? He is riding Brough Park as well, or even better, than when he was our #1
  14. That first time Newcastle did it the crowd was 3x normal. Given that the promotion are doing it for a 2nd time it seems they think it makes sense
  15. You sign up at www.groupon.com You will 2 emails a day offering deals on stuff where they have negotiated discounts. For the Diamonds I got an email 3 weeks ago for the Edinburgh meeting. You have pay online (which I know people don't like) but the discounts are big. If you bought 4 tickets they are 6 quid each. I think 10 worked out at 4.65. Be prepared for lots of emails about stuff you don't want mind you!
  16. Honouring the Groupon tickets is the ONLY option no matter what the legalities. Any other decision would result in a major falling out with regular fans who availed of the deal.
  17. Lashing down 5 miles north of Brough. This can't possibly be on.
  18. A tough one to call. Edinburgh a have a number of riders who are very hit and miss around Brough (Tully, Wethers, Cook, Pijper) if a couple of them hit, we could be in deep trouble. Hopefully 49 - 41 and everyone safe and sound. Should be a big crowd due to the Groupon deal
  19. Said it before Speedway needs to be promoted as an extreme sport and dangerous. The old hands may hate that but if you want a younger generation coming in, that's what will ensnare them.
