  1. Indeed. I'll have some what he's been drinking
  2. Good team. Bit harsh for Christian though who has had an excellent season.
  3. Well the Diamonds managed to get 42 in all but 2 away matches in the league so hopefully they can mamnage 37 on Saturday. Need a few more race wins than Sunday though.
  4. I'll definitely be at the Ben Fund meeting. Pleased it is just up the road..
  5. Straight swap on current rolling averages Robbo + Lemo = 15.13 Bach + Roynon = 15.02
  6. Hopefully no comments about the track from Worky this time. Flat as a witches twit, with no dirt/grip whatsoever. Made for gating tarts. Times were 3 to 4 seconds slower than normal and this is with the cold air increasing the horsepower of the engines. The only grip was on the centre green, as used by Adam Roynon to pass Lindgren. Although the score of MPT looks like a 'get of jail' card for Newcastle (and many thanks for his efforts), in reality it is probably only what Richie Worrall would have scored himself. If our top 5 ride like that at DP we will lose on aggregate.
  7. A real shame as he was always a rider I looked forward to seeing. Couldn't gate for toffee but never knew when he was beaten. Was often the most entertaining rider from the away ranks at Brough. He didn't mind a bit of dirt.
  8. Couldn't give a monkey's as I'm not a Workington fan. It is the principle that annoys the hell out of me.
  9. In general, not this season. Obviously, 3 Scunthorpe riders and some guests could well win it this year
  10. Ride a 6 month long season, playing everyone home and away, then give the championship trophy to the team that is lucky enough to have a full side out in October.
  11. Surely it is a miracle that Newcastle could finish top as they have to ride 'Rough Park' every week !! A massive disadvantage compared to Scunthorpe who get to ride a billiard smooth, grippy track every week.
  12. The play-offs have failed spectacularly if the sole point of them was bumper crowds
  13. If it meets the regs and the riders sre available Bach R. Worrall Lindgren Henry Robson Nedermark S.Worrall
  14. We wouldn't be the only team offering him big money I suspect. The world is his lobster
  15. Had Richie completed the season he may have gone straight to EL. He was on 9+ for us and 6.5 for Lakeside this season.b An excellent prospect. If he feels he needs another PL season I can only hope he feels he owes Newcastle for sticking with him last season.
  16. Newcastle's top 2 couldn't live with Somerset's top 2 and Somerset just about deserved to go through. Still feels desperately unfair on a Newcastle team that has coped manfully with injuries to win the league only for the trophy to be awarded to the team with no injuries over a 4 game season. James Wrights rolling starts were so exaggerated I thought it was a deliberate ploy to get Kyle Newman more rides. He almost broke the tapes from a 15 metre handicap!
  17. And so the fortune of having a full team at playoff time is shown to the detriment of the true league champions
  18. After the Sheffield cup match no Diamonds fan should ever give up on a two legged tie ever again
  19. Right now, double headers are the only solution to the fixture pile up. If remains a ridicularity that the League Cup semi-finals are only being ridden now. That competition should be done and dusted by the end of July.
  20. So you've had 6 months of the season to save up £12.50 each for two meetings against a top side and it is too much? That's not disloyalty, that's bad financial planning.
  21. Which is, of course, both an absolute disgrace AND a complete nonsense.
  22. Newcastle Diamonds - 2012 League Champions. Now for the play-offs.
