I loved James when he was a Diamond. He was the BEST at the 4th bend outside pass Brough Park has ever seen. A shame this meeting clashed with some old clubs and their riders being unavailable. I'm sure a few Diamonds fans would have made the trip had we not been racing ourselves.

Kus only had the beating of the reserves, Rose, who should still be a reserve in his first season, and Lindgren, who is just riding like a reserve. His winning times we're 2.5 seconds off the other 12 heats. Still way better than his usual Brough showing of 0,0,3,0 but he wouldn'thave finished any higher than Doolan in ht15. I guess Doolan was chosen due the fact that if he made the gate he had more chance of keeping the Diamonds behind him. I too was impressed with young Nielsen and thought Carr much improved from previous visits. Good meeting

Very enjoyable meeting. That was the Danny King I was expecting and a great shift from Chris Mills. Manzares was an impressive first time visitor to Brough but he did knock Mills off. That said, King was leaning all over Richie when they went down in heat 15.
