  1. Not a bad meeting although nowhere near as good as saturday. Lindback was superb if he could ride like this in the GP's he would be world champion. AJ also fantastic. One question for you all. Is Millard as bad at commentating as Janniro is on a speedway bike? They were both a disgrace last night.
  2. Not read the whole thread but isn't it our turn to use Ringer Holta this year?
  3. A bit unfair on British League tracks though. The Easter weekend surely must be the best crowd wise all over the country. Having a GP would take away probably the most lucrative weekend of the season for many.
  4. I have a vague recollection of going to Poole to watch Wimbledon at some point during the 80's possibly 84. It was the first part of home and away meetings on the same day. I was wondering if anyone could help with the score and scorers please. Cheers.
  5. Not sure about the line up but i have heard that the Tony Rickardsson end of season DVD is going to be on sale at the Cardiff GP.
  6. Deal done with Cardiff until 2011. So maybe Wembley might be finished by then.....
  7. Oh yeah i get it, cos he's danish right bacon yeah danish? With wit like that you ought to be on the stage........
  8. Ouch! For what its worth i think there have been errors on both sides, but rules is rules. Unless of course you apply for "special dispensation" then the rules aint worth dick.
  9. And to be fair probably has the best years of his career behaind him whereas Steady is the future. That said i wouldn't have liked to make the decision, Mark is a legend in British Speedway and an all round top geezer. Simon is probably the best prospect for future GP success. Its just a shame this year there is only one wild card.
  10. Who knows. Isn't it great to see Lewis doing so well. It must have been all those second halfs at Wimbledon that has set him up for what looks to be a great career!
  11. No one giving him a chance, or him not wanting to take a chance????
  12. Cheers mate. Looks like the last train on Saturday night is before the end of the GP but thanks anyway.
  13. I'm thinking about getting the train this year as i'm fed up with the drive. Do many people go by train if so whats the service like? I'll be travelling from Paddington. Cheers in advance.
  14. Something else to add to the conspiracy theory. The interval was taken after heat 12, i wonder who was in heat 12 and 13???
  15. Hello mate, no i've never seen this dark line/blue groove at Wimbledon. Maybe awful was a bit harsh, but i've come to expect better at Hoddesdon. The pity is the track is such a great shape, all it would take is a little more dirt and a decent watering and you would have a fantastic racetrack. Aside from this were you aware the Rye track used to be where the go kart track is and was 450 yards long? I wasn't till i read it on saturday in the excellent book Homes of British Speedway.
  16. I think its probably something to do with how the power is distributed/centre of gravity.
  17. I reckon this is probably down to cost. There have been a few that have given it a go. Namely Darren Rolph grasstracker turned speedway rider. Not too sure what happened to him he looked a tidy rider from what i can remember.
  18. Agreed, although watching conference racing over the past few years i have noticed a willingness to ride in less than perfect conditions. Hopefully these young lads will carry this through.
  19. I may be wrong but do grasstrack bike have some form of suspension? If so the frames will flex less etc
  20. You reckon? I thought it was awful, blue groove after heat 8. Did anyone else think the crowd was very poor?
  21. Quality GP with a great result. My fav three riders in the first three places. Lets hope Nicki's op goes well and we can watch a great series unfold. Nothing personally against the guy but wouldn't it have been boring if Tony Rickardsson had won it? This result hopefully sets up a great series.
  22. Can you imagine Man United or Chelsea having the FA cup sponsors logo on their shirts, i think not.
