But what happens when the "potential" is reached like say Lee Richardson. Will they then be dropped? This year it's Danny King, last year it was Tai and before that we had Simon Stead. What is stopping riders reaching their potential? The only rider of the five on show last night with a real chance of being a genuine World Class rider is Tai. Bridger too stupid. Lets face it speedway in this Country is nowhere near big enough for riders to attract decent sponsorship, and while decent sponsors are walking away we will fall further and further behind. While our lads may have the raw talent which will get them through up until a certain point a lack of decent equipment will be a a major stumbling block. Bridger was fannying around with five engines in practice yesterday but only two rolling chasis to swap them between. You won't win the F1 championship in a go kart.

Maybe the airfence gave the riders more confidence to "attack it" It's also a lot to do with engine set up. I would suggest the riders last night had a few quid more to chuck at tuning etc than your average Premier League rider. I guess most riders are loath to spend money on an engine specifically for Lynn which is a pretty unique track, due I believe to the clay base.
