  1. By the looks of it yes! There would be no greater coup for Speedway than getting a track put in on the Olympic site and whilst there may well be interested parties my opinion is that it won't happen. As for expenses, I reckon you get enough freebies as it is!!
  2. Lord Bryn thinks otherwise...
  3. You are so way off the mark it's untrue. When I get a minute I will PM you mate.
  4. Which party is that and who are these 20 ish riders?
  5. What are the chances of Sir Nicki returning to defend his crown?
  6. Roughly translated as "you can post behind an alias just as long as you don't have a go at one of my mates" Your defence of a mate is understandable but I saw what went on at Wimbledon. It was a farce from start to finish under Ribbons. The press and practice day was a disaster, as you say opening night should have been called off and in my opinion did more to damage to the reopening than anything else that subsequently occured. Anyone remember the Conference League riders semi that we had? A white line being painted on the third bend so riders could avoid a huge hole which had appeared. The track was never fit to race on it was bumpy incosistent and downright dangerous. Then we had the famous "meeting" against Boston. Cracker that one wasn't it? Whilst Steve may be applauded for bringing speedway back to Plough Lane, his whole concept seemed rather pie in the sky and poorly planned. You say there is a heck of a lot more to what went on at Wimbledon and there may well be. But I'm commenting on what I saw with my own eyes and if that doesn't fit your old pals act then tough. James Turner (does that make my post ok as I have used a name which may or may not be mine)
  7. 3 or 4 years ago I thought Adam would be an Elite League rider by now. Unfortunately injuries have prevented that so far, I really wish him all the best for an injury free season because if someone deserves that it's Adam.
  8. After your ludicrous attempt to bring speedway back to Plough Lane I would say the conditions are pretty fair.
  9. I don't know what all the panic is. Surely most teams know within a rider or two their likely line up? In fact I know of one team who has all seven riders sorted for next season.
  10. Yes and crowds didn't improve so hence the move back to £10.00.
  11. Nigh on impossible, if Peterborough don't run for a year they have to reapply for planning permission.
  12. Excellent, the one meeting worth going to no matter what. I have a sneaking feeling I may have more than a 20 minute drive to get there next year.
  13. As it says in the title. Is this happening again next year?
  14. Agreed and it's a real shame. Prague used to provide some cracking racing.
  15. Outrageous, Andersen should be nowhere near the GP's next season.
  16. Agree with you mate, the irony is that Rye is one of the only tracks in the country that can run whenever they want.
