The difference being, Best had a very good career in football. Possibly finished too early but please don't coimpare one of the greatest players to ever live, to a speedway rider who is fairly talented but as yet achieved not an awful lot. Also George was ill, there is a huge difference in being an alcoholic to being a waster like Ward.

Going on the entertainment yesterday he wasn't missed. Not likely to get him banned from riding a speedway bike though is it?

Spot on about Nicki. Perhaps that's why he's a three times World Champion and Ward is just a scumbag waster.

Glad Andre is on the mend. I thought the first half of the meeting was actually pretty dull. Livened up as the night went on but certainly no better than the average televised matches.

Petty point scoring after a crash like that. No wonder they call him Stevedumb...

The final isn't actually listed as "live" on my Virgin planner. Surely it must be though?

Then if he doesn't ride he should be banned, assuming Wolves use a guest.

Is "taking a break" a legitimate reason for Wolves to get a facility for a guest?

Just watching this back and Dave Rowe is superb. Animated when necessary, knowledgable and no woooaaaahhhhhhs, modderbykes or get out of the ways. Makes Pearson look even worse. Just needs someone without a head injury alongside him. What meeting did you actually watch? Plenty of bike noise here...
