There may be some tired bodies out there this afternoon with celebration champagne to be flushed from the system but it has the makings of a close one, as a curtain raiser to a Dutch celebration. Best Wishes and join you later. Alan.
My heart says Spain because i like Torres and Fabregas, but the head says Germany. Has there ever been a Spanish rider? Can't think of one but you guys are the experts. Alan.
He, alone for them is on the pace.I will stay with this until the World Cup, since it is 40 degrees here today and far too hot ot do anything but sit and vege in the air conditioning. Looks a nice evening thete, but a bit cooler. Alan.
Same here in the USA, thought it might be just here. Can't complain, but like Racers And Royals i LUV the old farts music. One sounded like a Swedish T-Rex!!!. Regards. Alan.
Hi David,
Thank you for your good wishes the other day re the broken leg. Now i know what riders go through when they do it. Love to say it was a riding accident !!!! but it was a mundane domestic tumble. Does not stop me watching the racing. Regards. Alan.
What a shame. Was a close meeting. Not fabulous racing, but enjoyable with the close score. Ah well. World Cups only come round once every 4 years. Alan.
Echo that, my friend. Also looks like a good crowd also, especially considering the World Cup Semi coming up. Also looks like the crowd would exceed Eastbourne's for the season judging by last night. Enjoy everyone. Alan.
David, I would just love that. Being based now in the USA it presents a few logistical and cost problems for me at present,(plus i currently have a broken leg!) but one day... Till then i shall enjoy joining you knowledgeable folks on the net on Sundays and Tuesdays. Enjoy all your various trips. Best Wishes. Alan.
Welcome to the fan club. For quality of racing you cannot beat it. Add the stadiums, the crowds and for a bonus, even the start line girls are glam!
As "Racers and Royals" says don't miss Swedish League on Tuesdays also.(No start line girls in Sweden though) Regards. Alan.
Henryk was the first Polish rider to ride in England. He was a lovely little bloke, who won the Brandonapolis, then a REALLY big individual meeting held after the World Final. He got down on his knees and kissed the shale after his last ride at Coventry and never came back from behind the "iron curtain" as it was in those days. Alan.
