Anyone got the Lublin v Opole meeting? ITVL can't be accessed at all, no matter what i try. Not a life threatener but i love my speedway Alan.

The major issue is the condition of poor old Peter Swiderski and Thomas Jedrzezak who both have suffered mightily whilst entertaining us. Wroclaw, having lost the home leg and without 2 of their top scorers would have been on a hiding to nothing at Torun. I don't think anyone in Poland would give a monkey's bum about whether it was 5,6 or 7 days before the GP, nor would BSI. Torun is a magnificent state of the art speedway venue and it is a shame we don't get to see a meeting there today, but it wouldn't have been much anyway and our thoughts go out to Thomas and Peter and their loved ones. It is a dangerous old game this sport we love. Respectfully. Alan.

I'm sure it didn't come cheap, but with TV money and sponsorship ( and i'm serious about Budweiser) i think the NHL ate any losses to raise the profile of the game. Here in the USA hockey ranks a very poor 4th in the ratings, behind football(US style) baseball and basketball. Now in Canada, where i used to live it's a different story- there it is a religion outpacing Christianity, Catholicism and everything else combined Regards. Alan.
