Hi there. The prodigal son returns! to refute rumours that i was away for two weeks marching on Washington to protest the shale gas drilling upheaval of the habitat of the Mongolian fruit-bat. You make a very civilised defence of Premier and i would only make a couple of points. I did work in radio here in the USA so i have some knowledge of studio links. It would be the simplest thing for them to have,say, Chris Louis sitting in front of his TV screen and hooked up direct into the studio in Ireland. Video conferencing is absolutely mainstream today, and my wife and i "skype on video" when she is away. So i think the "expert assistant" could be very easily overcome. Information has never been more easily or speedily available. I preach (whilst he yawns) to my 16 year old that the only way to fact check in my (ancient ) day was to go to the library. As our friend Ghostwalker from Sweden pointed out Google or Wikipedia give you the answer, sometimes, ofttimes, whilst you are still typing it in. "Mindreaders" But the point about Vojens by Racers and Royals is well made. Broadcasting is a lot more difficult than the Tatum/Pearson knockers are aware of, but preparation is an integral part of the job. I think it is terrific that they are making available for UK viewers one of speedway's top two leagues -approve Ghostwalker ? but i think with just a bit of tweaking it could be so much better.
