  1. Public Service broadcasting is the preserve of publicly funded entities such as the BBC and TVP . Here in the USA where i am it is PBS. Every other broadcaster is a private entity whose remit is solely to make a profit. They do this by selling advertising and then delivering numbers of viewers to those advertisers. Unfortunately our (greatest of all ) sport only delivers a fraction of the viewers that Formula One does. We can argue all day that it should. But it doesn't. Till someone decides to risk their money we can be grateful for the public service streamers who bring it to us here each week. Join us tomorrow here online. I wish i could say there are thousands of us worldwide but there are not. More fool those who don't know what a wonderful spectacle speedway is but that is reality which is what TV companies go by. Regards. Alan.
  2. And your insights as to what is being said on the commentary will be warmly welcomed as always. I presume the same "non-winter" in the Niagara peninsula? All the best my friend. Alan.
  3. Presumably for a UK presence in an "International" lineup. A lot of teams would put Harris in as their number 6, i would warrant. The scorecard at the end of 15 heats will tell the tale. Regards. Alan.
  4. A cracker Last year's was terrific and i guarantee this will be no different. Thanks for the info. Alan.
  5. Yippee! Because of the extraordinary non-winter i have all the spring cleanup outside done so "she who must be obeyed" won't mind me being glued to the screen for five hours on what is forecast to be a beautiful Easter here. Look forward to joining you at 10.00am here with coffee and a bacon buttie to hand. All the best. Alan.
  6. As smooth as Kenni Larsen's gating! Roll on the end of the month. Regards. Alan.
  7. Well said. You have summed it up nicely. Congratu;ations New Zealand. Regards. Alan. I think you are being VERY harsh on one of the greatest ambassadors the sport has ever had. 12 years ago, when my son was 5 he wrote a little note to Greg telling him how he was his hero. A few weeks later a very large parcel arrived for him containing programmes, magazines, autographed photos, stickers and a lovely signed letter that he still treasures to this day. Greg Hancock is a true gentleman, devoted family man and an amazing rider. I guarantee you Nicki Pedersen will have him on his Christmas card list for his evasive reflex action after Emil clattered him. CONGRATULATIONS GREG. Sincerely. Alan.
  8. Bunyan secures his place in next years series with that fighting third
