  1. Very much according to the form book here. Too many big guns for Gorzow. Nice to have a GP podium rider at reserve even if you don't really need him too much. Excellent ride by Iversen to finish it off. Anything else going on in the sporting world today ? Take care everyone. "C'mon England!!"
  2. Nicki is the team rider par excellence. He rides for "Team Pedersen" .
  3. If (??) the weather here is any guide for you in 5 days or so, we have had a week of glorious 80F with no humidity and more to come ( it do say) so i hope you get it next week. However it is Wimbledon coming up and that usually spells the wet stuff . Fingers crossed for you all.
  4. Well at least it's not raining so it looks like a go Decent stream for anyone looking. http://pl-sport.tv/ Alan.
  5. As dear old dad used to say, "Horses don't bet on people son. Horses have too much sense " "King Farouk of Egypt had an unbeatable way with cards and no one ever won against him because he would put his cards down and say, 'I have won. I have better cards.' He was once in a game of poker and an opponent had the effrontery to declare that he had three queens. Farouk retorted that he had three kings, and when someone turned up the cards to reveal only two kings, Farouk snarled, 'I am the third.'" Biggest cheer of the day bet- Bartosz Zmarzlik - and deservedly so , Join you shortly. Alan.
  6. In any league, if a rider hasn't been paid, it doesn't take long for it to come out. In this day of Twitter, Facebook the BSF , someone, somewhere would put it out. There have been no murmurings that i have seen this season regarding Poland or anywhere. Why do you raise the issue? Have you any information to share? Regards. Alan.
  7. Take care all. Polski meeting tomorrow before the Wayner nods one in for us
  8. Good scheduling that the England match is tomorrow I can just swivel the chair around for this one.
  9. Eddie Bull did Eric Gundersen's engines which were always immaculate. Looks like he's a bit past it!
  10. Let's hope that rain holds off. Really good racing so far considering the track, and with rain threatening you can understand why they left the track slick.
  11. From the Daily Mail. Chinese football fan, 26, dies after going ELEVEN nights without sleep as he watched every single Euro 2012 match Sadly i'll not be joining you all for live chat and ruminations until our Scandinavian fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tomorrow evening is a watching 3 sports at once scenario. Speedway Grand Prix, European Championship Football and Nascar interweave at varying times so all tv's and computer screens are occupied. Got to give my Lady some attention so begrudgingly i suppose i'll have to record the UFC Mixed Martial Arts in the early hours lol." BEWARE!!! We don't want to lose you. Alan.
  12. Thanks for this. Great stuff to watch . Stars of tomorrow- and you were there! Regards. Alan.
  13. For the summer months on "Fox Soccer" here we are getting Sky News at 7pm which i really enjoy, mainly because it is such a change from the big bouffant female newsreaders here or the guys with bad toupees . I saw the Isle of Wight mudbath and also the floods in Wigan, so i know what you are on about. Good news is that we have had a bloody roaster of a week here with no rain at all, so i am shipping it over to you in 5 days time when you will feel the golden rays of the sun! Thanks for the race card Paul and i'll join you (stream permitting ) tomorrow. TTFN. Alan.
  14. 180, 75, 123, 343, 41 I couldn't find anything other than 1 meeting which had no attendance figure. Those numbers would be realistic if that is what they are . 343 is quite good i would think for a third tier meeting. I have no idea what the Speedway Star says or the context of the article. I hope someone who subscribes can enlighten us. My reaction to the real numbers is that for Elitserien they are pretty good. That is bearing in mind the awful weather and the football being on currently. The figures for Allsvenskan seemed to be a bit down from last year, but again the same two caveats apply- the weather and big football on tv. Regards. Alan.
  15. A bit more to add. I went back to the Svemo website http://www.svemo.se/...ay/Allsvenskan/ and did the same for the Allsvenskan League The numbers are as follows. 18 meetings. Total attendance. 15732. Average. 874. High. 1895. 4 over 1000. Low. 311. 1 other under 500. There has only been 1 meeting in their 3rd tier and there was no figure for that. So again, where did these (Speedway Star ) figures come from? They bear no relaitionship whatsoever to the actual figures. Regards. Alan.
  16. Gemini, on 21 June 2012 - 10:08 AM, said: If Mick is worried about last week's attendance figure how on earth do they manage in Sweden with 180, 75, 123, 343, 41 fans? Even top riders like Jason Crump, Emil Sayfutdinov, Nicki Pedersen etc. are only drawing in crowds of around 1,500. Must be lovely to go through life and never have to apologise for a mistake. You quote attendance figures for Sweden. Unlike the UK Sweden publish their attendance figures. http://www.svemo.se/.../Matchresultat/ There have been 27 Elitserien meetings this season. Total attendances. 69370. Average attendance. 2569. High. 5273. Low. 961. 4 meetings over 4000. 1 over 5000. 3 below 1500. ( 961. 1480. 1054.) I have no idea whether you made your figures up or just don't have a clue. Either way the reality is otherwise. Regards. Alan. I responded to a post in the Elite League section (brave me! ) where the lady said that attendances for Swedish meetings were extremely low and she didn't know how riders were getting paid. I got my figures from Svemo and posted thus. (See above!) She has now come back and said she got her figures from this week's Speedway Star! I collated all 27 meetings myself and thought they would be of interest on this section. You have to click on each meeting result and the figure is on the top left of each meeting. Ghostwalker and others - over to you. Regards. Alan.
