  1. Hi everyone from a very wet US. Since it never rains in Sweden, i'm sure we will be fine. About time Emil had a big one. We shall see. Alan.
  2. We'll forgive him the song but the montage is wonderful . I still get sad when i see the late, great Tommy Jansson. But on to happy days next week. Tug McGraw (baseball player) said "Ya Gotta Believe" . Thanks Tarabanko- the best DJ in speedway. Alan.
  3. And i will hold my nose and buy the meetings. Who knows, i might even get sound this time! C'mon you Blacksmiths. Alan.
  4. Belated thanks for the company today- had to miss heat 15 to go and take "Michael Phelps" to his swim practice. Enjoyed the Kings Lynn meeting too. Regards. Alan.
  5. Haven't they switched it to the Poole meeting? Paul, don't forget the NFL starts tonight- thats what the coffee guys said this morning.
  6. Well i believe that Colin Pratt has just sent Horton a bunch of roses. Does that make me gullible or what? Plus a nice gentleman in Nigeria wants to deposit $10,000 in my bank account.
  7. Thank you. Your PM yesterday didn't link it strangely, but today's did. Go figure!! Beautiful sunset- as only Sweden can provide
  8. I'm glad someone got a good night's kip. Monster thunderstorm here led to a 6 hour blackout. But i was able to watch the Danish final when the power came back on at 2.30am. If you hear snoring during the next few hours-it won't be me! coz its speedway!!! Got basketball on my Polish feed. Does anyone have a UK link by any chance? Regards. Alan.
  9. Considering the lack of tension with the result never really in doubt, I thought it was a nice little meeting with some good racing. Take care everyone until the double header tomorrow. Regards. Alan. ( no idea why it is underlining. My posts are not important )
  10. A quick four 5-1s to start with would have made a match of it
  11. Bit of a farce with the tapes exclusion if we get Jonsson replaced by Lindgren.
  12. YES!!!!! You are a gentleman and a scholar but we knew that anyway . Thanks. Alan.
  13. Whilst we enjoy the short intermission Has anyone on here applied for the team managers job at Coventry ? http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.2022 It's commission only though. If they win the playoffs in 2013 you get a free programme with admission for 2014.
  14. So thats why i couldn't find them!! I was totally in Nascar and NFL territory. Paul would have loved it I spent my time running up and down the steps humming "Rocky" The "box" for imprtant people won't come up today, but our Polish friends are there as always.
  15. no unfortunately. There was no wi -fi available where we were-backward peasants. Had a good nights kip instead and saw the updates. Doesn't sound like it was unmissable, but hey, it's our sport. I couldn't even watch Reading either-tragedy!
  16. Well, when it finally got going what a great race to start off with. Brilliant from AJ. With all due respect to Dave Goddard and our Orange friends in Poland, my favourite coverage is the Canal+ because of the pits views etc. But i'm grateful for anything!
  17. Hi everyone. Hope all is well. Ghostwalker will be pleased to hear that Sweden makes the front page of The Wall Street Journal here today with a story about fermented herring called Surstromming. Such is the way of the world Now on with the racing! which for me will be in Polish today Alan.
  18. Something to talk about at last. Is that Nicki's first home defeat this season? First i can recall seeing anyway. Take care folks. Alan.
  19. In my experience with these broadcasts, yes. I guess with only 5 man teams they need extra time for bike preparation. The danger with only 5 riders. One gets injured, you are out every other heat. Cue The Surfaris- "Wipeout"
