  1. It would happen wouldn't it? All set to go with my new set up and it rains Mother's Day here (and in Canada too, Pawel ?) so not sure I can make the second meeting. We leave for the UK on Tuesday evening, so I wish all you people good ,safe racing and I hope to see some of you at Peterborough and Coventry on Mon. 27th. Fingers crossed for the second meeting for all of you. Best wishes. Alan.
  2. Florida is 2 days drive from here and the speedway there is by 'undocumented" Hispanics racing on motorised Zimmer Frames. . Trust me mate, you'll get a blank look if you wear your "Aces" scarf to the coffee shop and mention Soren Sjosten But then so will i when we land in Manchester on Wednesday Regards. Alan.
  3. Why does Ronnie Russell remind me of Reginald Kray? It must be the erudite way he speaks . Nuff said. Regards. Alan.
  4. Bit of a wipe out but still enjoyed it. Empty stadium, just like the Elite League . NOT!!! Look forward to any live streams. I like the look of Borodulin. A very good prospect. Thanks for this Gray. Regards. Alan.
  5. It totally doesn't exist here, apart from the little niche in California.Google "speedway" and you get a million concrete oval Nascar circuits popping up, but none of the shale variety. There is a track in Owego, NY which is 6 hours away from here. God bless these enthusiasts. If anyone comes here, bring your laptop with the streaming sites loaded on. I have written many times to various TV companies extolling the virtues of the GPs, American icon, Greg Hancock etc.. but no interest whatsoever. 2 factors that militate against coverage here. The 5 hour time difference here on the East Coast, 8 hours on the West Coast. So a GP would begin at 1pm here and 10 am in California and the sports schedules are jammed up with baseball, college football etc. Also America doesn't like uncertainty tv-wise, so a rain delay, meeting over-run wouldn't sit too well with them. Why i raise my glass to the streamers .
  6. Totally agree with both of you. See the video on the "Round 7" thread, posted by our friend Racers and Royals, and my (early morning!) comments. Unfortunately the satellite company here in the USA doesn't offer a Polish package, otherwise i'd have it like a shot. Take care. Alan.
  7. Now that's what i call "real speedway". Not a run-down stadium, but certainly not a "flash palace". Fantastically enthusiastic fans, super start girls (why do the UK ones always look so bored ? Just march out, stand there chewing gum and can't wait to get off ). I noted the local sponsors given great publicity at the beginning and the end, the riders interacting with the fans afterwards. You get the feeling that Jesper B. Monberg really has embraced this community. i know things aren't perfect, even in Poland, but compared to the UK "death spiral" it's not hard to see why! And then last night i read that Birmingham have stopped BBC local radio covering their home meetings, because they claim it's keeping fans at home!!!!!! In the immortal words of John McEnroe " You cannot be serious" . I'm rambling here, it's early morning and i need a second cup of coffee! Thank you, i REALLY enjoyed that and join you on Sunday, Alan.
  8. Enjoyed that, as always! Thanks for the company. I guess that's it until Polski Sunday. Take care everyone. Regards. Alan.
  9. Me mate. I just put up a post about heats 10/11 being 'easy paydays" but it went round and round and........ Probably like this one will The main thing is the stream is "poifict", so the forum becomes secondary.
  10. We don't get to see these guys enough. Roll on some Russian League streams It's almost as though the format in Denmark is designed as "Heats 10 and 11- easy payday for the top twos".
  11. It's sad to watch a guy like Hougaard, so obviously down on confidence and struggling. Don't know what the answer is, but i feel for him. He isn't this bad really.
  12. That Balinski trailing in at the back like that. Disgraceful- and from the outside gate as well. Worra load of rubbish , as i said.
  13. This is an enjoyable little meeting so far. And they are moving along at jet speed compared to most Danish meetings. I know 5 man teams can cause delays, but so far, so good. Well, i was going to say something about the design of the outfits not being totally flattering, but thought better
  14. Who compared Balinski to a Lada door handle? The lad is ace!!!
  15. The vagaries of this (mostly) wonderful technology. Great stream from Sweden yesteday. Thank you to the originator. He knows who he is
  16. There, that Balinski- said he was a good'un and the perfect replacement for Nicki, didn't i?
  17. Let us know when you are signing off and we won't spoil it for you by putting up the score. Anyone else think the "oddset" blonde would make a great start-tart?
  18. The old joke of a guy going into a car dealership. " Have you got a door handle for a Lada?". Dealer. "That's a fair swap" Join you all in an hour. Alan.
  19. Ah, those Swedish sunsets. Like no other. Ah, those Swedish sunsets. Like no other. Britt Eklund pressed the key twice, not me guv. Reversal today. Superb, consistent stream, and the forum has been very slow loading. Perhaps it's just at this end. One to go, so take care all and join you for Denmark tomorrow. Alan.
  20. I'll concentrate on Britt Eklund by my side Alan I sent you a link and told you to be good. Listen!!!!!!!
  21. One of our experts posted that Vastervik were on a hiding to nothing tonight
