  1. With the Czech Republic in there??? It's impossible for the Aussies not to come third in this hugely devalued competition this year. Darcy should score more than the Czechs combined. Regards. Alan.
  2. Re Barker's "tactics" isn't there a rule somewhere in the book about not making a genuine effort to race, and shouldn't he have been excluded? I can recall Rick Miller being the only rider left in a race, pulling wheelies all four laps, and being excluded 'for not making a genuine effort to race" though he was the only one in the heat.
  3. So, objectively, after 16 heats , in world speedway terms, Great Britain is on a par with Latvia. BSPA take a bow Alan.
  4. ". I have my Latvian hat on. These young lads have serious potential.A couple of good gates early on, and who knows ?. The Latvians are the good that has come out of the Russian debacle " So far i'm not looking too bad. Good stuff so far whichever way it ends up. Alan.
  5. USA riding above themselves so far. Latvians nice and steady. GB and the Aussies all over the show. Makes for a nice tight meeting and very absorbing. Alan
  6. Well said, my friend. I have my Latvian hat on. These young lads have serious potential.A couple of good gates early on, and who knows ?. The Latvians are the good that has come out of the Russian debacle. I will be watching this one with real interest. Shame the track is usually slick rubbish though. Join you all later. Regards. Alan.
  7. More a reflection on the utter predictability of the result methinks. The racing has actually been very good, and the Latvians have livened it up.Shame that due to injuries and politics the line-ups were cut to pieces.
  8. Is it remotely possible for Darcy to catch Emil in the GP standings?. He just looks on a different planet right now. Thanks Pawel. It's working for the Latvians anyway . Some good racing so far. Always is on this track. "Alan's Kiss Of Death " On Darcy. Big him up and he comes last!
  9. Hi Pawel, Will Poland win every heat? I wouldn't bet against it, though i'll probably be wrong by heat 2  Just hope we get some good racing and no spills.
  10. A nice stream here (in Polish of course). I think it is a rerun of the Danish GP on now, but live at 2pmUK. http://activepltv.net/stream1.html Are we commenting on it "as it happens" ? I'll go along with whatever the feeling us. I'm just happy to watch it, though it is now a fairly predictable result coming up. So sad not to see Emil and the Laguta brothers Regards Alan. The crowd doesn't look brilliant, by Polish standards, but not sure if this was earlier, or with 10 minutes to go. At least it's not raining!
  11. Away from home with a borrowed lap-top but anyone who wants to study the Polish language (as i do every Sunday) can join me in a study session here (to the accompaniment of men on brakeless motorcycles ) http://www.soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?id=motorsport Regards.Alan
  12. I can watch it live here,as always and practice my Polish at the same time. http://www.soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?id=motorsport Regards.Alan
  13. I don't wish it, of course, but there would be a certain irony, if this wasn't decided on the track! Pandorum and i are the co-chairmen of the Emil / Laguta Bros. Fan club and had been practicing our Russian for "YESSSSS" (YESSSKI ) when they won it (perhaps!). I'm away from home this weekend and have a borrowed lap-top just to get a stream, and now it may all be in vain. Like having a date with Jennifer Aniston and then Phyllis Diller shows up! Regards. Alan
  14. Thanks for the correction.I ended up watching a superb Polish stream. It really wasn,t a very exciting meeting and i did see Miedzinski out again later, who i thought had got the worst of it (obviously not!).I've got to get up to speed with my Polish lessons. Will one of the start line girls offer do you think????? Dream on Alan! Regards.Alan
  15. Heat 8 crash.Looked awful, but both carried on. Speedway riders- you,ve got to love them. Pre-empted for prima donna footballers too ..Regards. Alan
  16. I innocently tried to use the word once on the forum which begins with "sn" and got xd out also I also remember saying to my girlfriend in the early 60s as we came home from seeing the Bees GRAB a last heat victory that i felt really happy and gay about the result !!! Changing times indeed. Regards. Alan.
  17. It's a shame Ghostwalker isn't with us tonight, but it is certainly much smaller than most Swedish tracks. "Tight, technical" as Kelvin says ( over and over ) Glad you could join (all 3 of us) and , with one to go, i hope our Premier subscribers enjoy. Elite tomorrow. Take care my friend. Got to cut the grass as soon as it's over. Alan .
