Good appetite wetter for this weekend. Emil really can gate now can't he. Reminds me of Hans Nielsen at his most imperious. I cringed at the crash in heat 10.Glad they both got up. I really appreciated the graphic across the bottom of the screen throughout the whole race and if we get streams of this quality I will be one happy camper. Roll on tomorrow and thanks for putting it up. All the best from a wet USA. Alan.

Thanks for this. Something ominous for opponents this season. It appears that our young Emil has learned how to gate in his enforced absence judging from what we saw in the Best Pairs and according to this report. All his 3 wins were" from the gate". Chris Harris is stopping off to have a lesson from Emil on the way back from NZ. Pleasing news also for our correspondent Racers and Royals with the form of a young Mr Przedpelski. Regards. Alan. Hi everyone, Superb picture, Panther2006, Weather looks great and the crowd looks good. Now all we have to do is stay awake. Alan. This really is a great setting. Such a shame if it proves to be the last one here .Let's hope that it is a packed crowd. Hope (western) springs eternal. -

I'm doing the worst of two options for the 6am start over here, i staying up through the night instead of rising early! Hi Paul, Yes mate, 1am here .I'm reading "War And Peace" in Russian ( ) to stay awake!! Really looking forward to it. I'll watch the Super 15 Rugby immediately following and snooze through tomorrow's Premiership games. Man City v Southampton is the first on, I think. Peeing it down here for the last 2 days, so no guilt about not being in the garden. Join you all at your dawn or whatever time anywhere on the planet. . Cheers for the race card too mate. Alan. -

Thank you for posting this. The interview with Briggo is really insightful and increases my already huge regard for him. We shall not see his like again. Sad that he thinks this will be the last GP at Western Springs. Hope springs eternal. Regards. Alan. -

1 am here. Do I have a nap at 8pm and set the alarm, drink a gallon of coffee at 10pm or read "War And Peace" from 6pm onwards ?. Should be some Super 15 Rugby on my dish following the speedway so a long night in store! Take care. Alan. -

Good final. Thanks for the company folks. Still a bloody freezing USA with more snow forecast for tonight, so a very enjoyable way to pass a Friday afternoon. Till the next time. Best wishes to all. Alan.
