Thats a +1 for Boogaloo.... If you cant get Boogaloo over, Bobby Schwartz would be a VERY close replacement !
-
Trucks R Us ? No idea, Dave runs a company called "Hunting Hire", who used to sponsor the Witches many years ago
-
Is the journalist Mike "37 point limit" Bacon ? Have you a link to Witches Forum ? I found one, but it was full of BNP crap !

Wonder if the local bussinessman is Dave Hunting.... Doubt it would be Marcus Evans, but you never know...

Team Viking - Spring Tour 2011

I was talking about southern tracks in general, rather than just exclusively NL Would be happy to watch the team at Newport, Somerset or Swindon, for example -
Team Viking - Spring Tour 2011
jeffster replied to SarahLapworth's topic in National League Speedway
Any meetings planned at southern tracks, Sarah ? -
Thanks Steve, That should put everyone in the picture So....pretty please with a cherry on top....Can we see the team at Swindon in 2011 ? Ask that nice bloke Patchett at Dudley...Apparently, he gets on well with the Swindon promotion, and might be able to swing a visit from your boys to Wiltshire
-
Er.... It IS the very same team... The organisation made some changes and underwent a re-branding / re-naming earlier this year... I would love to see the team ride at Swindon, as their only previously planned visit to Blunsdon fell victim to the weather...

As Team Manager I presume ?

BIG Weekend in Poland then, 8th / 9th October : The last GP of 2011 in Gorzow on Saturday 8th October The 4th and Final round of the World Under 21 Championship in Gniezo on Sunday 9th October EDIT - Seems unfair that Gniezo also get a Semi Final of the World Under 21 Final in addition to the last round of the final series. As Haywood has said, crazy to stage the first round of the World Under 21 Final at Coventry on the same day as the World Cup Final - Surely the Coventry round can be moved to another date ?
-
Thanks Ghostwalker. As AJ is effectively "doubling up" in Sweden next year, I guess there is very little likelihood that he will want to ride in Britain next season, with Poland on a Sunday, ElitSerien on a Tuesday, AllSvenskan on a Thursday, plus the GP Series.
-
How does the "Guest Rider" rule work ? Can Andreas Jonsson, for example, ride every meeting for Rospiggarna in the AllSvenskan, or can he only ride for them in certain circumstances ?
-
The meeting (World Under 21 Final) was shown by Czech Television on Wednesday 6th October...I watched in my hotel room in Prague Check out the archives at www.ceskatelevize.cz where the meeting should be available

Taken from : V prostorách pardubického plochodrážního stadionu proběhla dnes první tisková konference před 62. Rospiggarna Quit 2011 Swedish Elit Serien
jeffster posted a topic in International World of Speedway
Just read on Greg Hancock's twitter feed that Rospiggarna have quit the 2011 Sweedish Elit Serien, due to financial difficulties... Sad news for a long standing top flight club, but hopefully they can re-group at a lower level, and put the club on a sustainable footing -
I hope the Polish League doesnt rearrange tomorrows play off matches for next Thursday !

Tommy, the Golden Helmet weekend this year, as you may well know, is the first weekend of October, so, like in previous years, I would not expect the line up to be announced until late September. Keep an eye on these websites for details : http://www.zlataprilba.cz http://www.speedwaya-z.cz http://www.speedwayfakta.cz

Salty is absolutely 100% correct in the post above. Its the FIM that decide where meetings are held, although tracks do of course express interest in staging whatever meetings they wish to... 3rd and Final round of this years World Under 21 final is in Pardubice, Czech Republic on 2nd October. As for your comment "I can accept hold the meetings in Europe, but England should have at least one round. So the Aussies and anyone else who speaks the most popular language of the world can actually understand whats going on.", that is laughably unbelievable to be frank, as the riders will obviously know what's going on. Results will be announced in English, as they tend to be during Golden Helmet weekend at Pardubice (The World Under 21 Final is being staged the day before the Golden Helmet this year) Riders dont need to hear results in English anyway - They know who beat who, and if language was such a concern, the likes of Darcy, Holder, Leigh, Jason, etc, etc would not hop over to Poland and Sweden every week for league racing, let alone world championship and other commitments ! Talent that he is, Darcy Ward is a LONG way from being the finished article at the current time. By the way, the 3rd and final round of the 2011 World Under 21 final is also slated for Pardubice...Its a great weekend, I highly recommend it, if you can get over the "language barrier" of course

Not sure about the criteria for #7, but you could always post the question on the Discussion Forum ( "Diskuse" ) on http://www.zlataprilba.cz , and I am sure Petr Moravec will be able to clarify (In English too) Glad you enjoyed the meeting. I hope this new league format (For the Czechs) takes off and is a success, as oppossed to the their old 4TT format. As for the financial viability, you do have a point, but I dont think that the "big guns" will ride every meeting, although I do think that Prague will use Leigh Adams next Tueaday against Pardubice, as that meeting has probably already become a must win fixture for them. Courtesy of "Speedwaya-z" (http://www.speedwaya-z.cz/view.php?cisloclanku=2010021203) : Extraliga slibuje zajímavá jména už nyní Vydáno dne 12. 02. 2010 (156 přečtení) Pardubice – 12.
