  1. Cracking team ! Would also hope that, riding at the Arena Essex raceway every week, Morris, Ellis and Waj will be pretty decent at Wolverhampton when Swindon are at Monmore Green.
  2. I think you may be getting confused with Poole Cycle Speedway
  3. So, it was all bovine excretia about Poole signing Adam Ellis as an asset then..... http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.3023
  4. Ah, thats the best case of mistaken identity ever, thanks Ghostwalker !
  5. Just found out on Facebook from Stephen Zetterwall that Czech rider Richard Wolff passed away earlier today. He had been ill since August. RIP Richard

  7. Agreed - What a ballache ! Took me about 45 minutes, all because I changed my phone number on the "DotPay" page from "79xxxxxxxx" to "+4479xxxxxxxx" When I left it as is, I could then actually pay for my ticket ! The "TicketPortal" website is so much easier - As "TicketPortal" operates in Czecho, Slovakia, Hungary AND Poland, its a shame they are not the ticket provider for the Speedway GP's in Poland
  8. Wouldnt be keen on Jonasson - Had a spell at Swindon before, on loan from Edinburgh, and was like the "Scarlet Pimpernel", allegedly realising he had forgotten his passport when arriving at foreign airports for a flight to the UK. As for his riding, he is what I would describe as consistently inconsistent.
  9. Are you stirring the pot, or just not very bright ?! Woffinden couldnt ride for Wolves tonight, as he didnt sign a contract for ride for Wolves this season, oh and also because the transfer deadline, that allows teams to change their declared 1 - 7 has long since passed ! If there wasnt a transfer deadline, teams could rent a rider for the play off semis and final ! Still, never mind, when you have watched speedway for longer than five minutes, you will understand it !

  11. Na, dont think he ever paid the fine that accompanied his drugs ban, and now has, or at least had at one time, a successful graphic design business.
  12. Tickets available for the Pardubice weekend, and also the Tomicek memorial, from www.ticketportal.cz which does have an English language option available. You can either print the tickets at home or work, internet cafe, etc, or, download Ticketportal's Android or iPhone app, and show the tickets on your phone.
  13. I "think" that "Danny Birds of a Feather" might be Schizophrenic, and have several other aliases on this forum, but I am in two minds about it.....

  15. Absolutely spot on ! However, it may well be decided in certain quarters, especially when his team this year resembles Captain Pugwash rather than a bunch of swash buckling Pirates, that extending the transfer deadline is "in the interests of British Speedway"
  16. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/700998/row-chcial-pozyskac-jasona-crumpa-nowy-zawodnik-prawdopodobnie-w-tym-tygodniu ROW wanted to get Jason Crump! New player probably this week Krzysztof Mrozek, CEO of ROW, said he was negotiating with Jason Crump. The information is so shocking that the Australian ended his career in 2012 and later raced only amateur. The news about ROW negotiations with Jason Crump is sensational. After all, the Australian was a world champion. Ultimately, Crump will not ride again in Poland, although he was inclined to return after five years. The 41-year-old was too demanding. - I spent the night before the match in Wroclaw on email with Jason Crump. It's a fact. He was willing to go back to the professional slag, but the financial conditions nearly knocked me over. The second problem is that Jason is no longer as physically as he used to be. Unfortunately, such a high financial contract was high risk. All the more so for the moment is not uncertainty - added President of ROW. ROW Rybnik is in a very difficult situation. Rory Schlein , who at the same time has other competitions, will not start in the next match . The activists are trying to contract somebody and many point to the fact that in Grudziadz we will see a new player in the Rybnik club. - We don `t sleep. We are looking for reinforcements. We want to have an alternative to get out of this difficult situation with face. There are market players who can guarantee 7-8 points. Rory Schlein will not go to Grudziądz because he has a game in England. We negotiated with each player who is free. You can check it out - said Krzysztof Mrozek . During Friday's game in Grudziądz, fishermen may be registering with a new acquisition. It will not be Craig Cook or Kim Nilsson . - Probably on Friday we will have a new foreign player. As for Jim Nilsson, he has an injury right now. Besides, he said he would not leave the British League and he was not ready for PGE Ekstraliga, "Mrozek said. In recent times, ROW has also spoken with Peter Karlsson . Conversations with the 48-year-old, however, did not succeed. - Negotiations ended on Tuesday. His demands were cosmic and unmanageable. The athlete hoped that even if he did not score, he would get a good deal. Peter too is not a guarantee of points - he finished. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cecil is probably frantically ringing Jason as we speak.....Would be better than Jedward, er Edward....
  17. I just spat out my coffee in shock !
  18. Doyle will be OK, scored 14 in Sweden last night for Rospiggarna, his only loss coming to Emil Sayfutdinov in Heat 15.
  19. About two minutes after you buy your ticket, I always buy my tickets this way, as it gives you a free programme, and you can enter through the portakabin that season ticket holders use
  20. Yes, in the late 1980's / early 1990 IIRC Was absolutely mental on a bike, scary AF
  21. Yes, but you have made the error of thinking the BSPA use logic and common sense, and you, better than most on this forum, know it sadly doesnt work like that ! Some posters are saying "he cant pick and choose when he represents GB blah blah blah"....Well, the World Games could have been used as an olive branch by both Tai and the BSPA to repair a relationship that has broken down, in my view.
