Prague is a brilliant city to visit for a weekend( or longer !) To get to the stadium the Metro line A has been extended and for Marketa stadium get off at Petriny- stadium 3 minute walk away. -
From Stewmac In the 2024 season, the PGE Ekstraliga and the new Speedway 2. Ekstraliga will be held according to the rules known from the previous year, but from the 2025 season there will be a radical change of the system and 140 matches per season. The system will be uniform for both competition classes. Thus, the competition between teams in the play-off and groups 1-4 will return after the regular season, and a new play-down scheme will appear for teams ranked 5-8. It is not planned to expand the PGE Ekstraliga to 10 teams, but play-off matches between the 2nd Speedway 2nd Ekstraliga team and the 7th PGE Ekstraliga will be introduced. From 2025, 56 matches will be played in each league in the regular season in the "round robin" system - a match and a rematch. The new solution for play-off and play-down rounds will definitely raise the profile of each of them, because after the main part of the competition, both leagues will be divided into groups 1-4 and 5-8. The only difference between PGE Ekstraliga and Speedway 2. Ekstraliga will be the lack of a third-place match in the latter, as well as a play-off (currently it is not planned between the 7th team of Speedway 2. Ekstraliga and the 2nd team of the 2nd Speedway League).
