Just to clarify- they are now using the Polish system which ironically has just been dropped !!! 3 QF matches( home and away) with the winners going into a table and the losers also into a table. The 3 winners plus the best loser are in the SF’s. 2 winners meet in the grand final.

In the relegation play-offs the semi winners are safe and the 2 losers then face each other with the winner safe and the loser relegated( only 1 promoted from Div 2.

In the relegation play-offs between the teams that finish 5th to 8th in the regular season, the 2 semi winners will be safe and the losers will meet each other with the loser relegated. The winner will then meet the loser of the Extraleague 2 play-off final to decide who is in Extraleague and Extraleague 2 the following season. This could mean that the team who finishes 5th in the Extraleague regular season could be relegated !! - seems a bit harsh !!!

Important change to the play-off regulations for the 2025 season. Teams 1-4 will take part in the promotion play-offs Teams 5-8 will take part in the relegation play-offs.
