racers and royals replied to Phil83's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
NKI recalled= NKI/ Kings Lynn were (i`m assuming) told no more you know the rules - Poland + 2 NOT 3. NKI had a choice drop Denmark or Sweden or UK and this is the outcome. -
Interesting article i stumbled across on the DMU website(translated) New initiatives are constantly being worked on in the Speedway League to improve conditions in the sport. In 2023, changes will therefore be introduced for the structure of heat schemes and the calculation of sections: New heat scheme New heat schedules are being developed to ensure that all drivers meet each other in each race. The purpose here is to avoid that some drivers get an advantage or a disadvantage by not meeting other drivers in the individual races. Calculation of sections The current categorization model lapses. Instead, a ranking is introduced, which is based on a calculation of the drivers' average from their participation in races in Denmark, Poland, England and Sweden: DK Speedway Ligaen, 1 Div., 2 Div. PL XtraLeague, 1 Div., 2 Div. GB Premiership and Championship. SE Bauhaus Leagues. The new approach should provide a more accurate calculation of the level of drivers and reduce the risk of their cuts being set inappropriately high or low. The level difference between the leagues and the divisions will be decided in early August. In addition, an addition will be made to the regulations before week 32, where the sections must be calculated. Calculation method Averages are calculated based on having run at least 8 heats across all leagues and divisions (with bonus points) and thus weighted. Drivers who have ridden during 8 heats will be awarded an average of 0.500. In case of injury or similar, transfers from the previous season are transferred if the average is higher than 0.500 in the current season. Drivers who have not achieved an average in the above leagues and divisions or who have achieved less than 0.500 on average will be awarded 0.500 on average.
