  1. However the BSPA in their announcements post conference only said-missing D/U replaced by PL guest,so have they had 2nd thoughts about riders in the 1 to 5 ?
  2. R and R Bookmakers invite you to take part in this new prize competition. Spread betting is fun yet requires skill and nerve-the more you are right the more you win, however the more you are wrong the more you lose. you have to choose if the rider you want to bet on will score MORE or LESS than my spreads. The smaller number is the LESS and the bigger number is the MORE(the number in the middle is what i expect them to score and is my margin!) The person with the most money at the end of the 12 GP`s wins the prize-it will be worth winning as people who know me say i am generous to a fault ! Each entrant starts with £200 MINIMUM bet per GP £10(per point) MINIMUM bet per rider £5(per point) GP 1 Auckland New Zealand start time(uk time)Saturday 23rd March 3am NB maximum points available is now 21(no double points in final) Pedersen 12--- 14 Holder 12--- 14 Gollob 10--- 12 Hancock 10--- 12 Sayfutdinov 10--- 12 Hampel 9------11 Lindback 9----- 11 Jonsson 8---- 10 Ward 8----- 10 NKI 7----- 9 Vaculik 7----- 9 Lindgren 6------8 Kasprzak 5-----7 Zagar 5----- 7 Woffinden 3----- 5 Bunyan 1----- 3 Example A player 1 thinks that age is catching up on Hancock and Gollob and has £5(per point) on each to score LESS than 10 -Hancock scores 8 and gollob 7 so he wins Hancock(10-8=2 X£5) and Gollob(10-7=3 x£5) so he wins £25 However if hancock scored 15 and Gollob 12 he would lose(15-10=5 x£5 and (12-10=2 X£5) so would lose £35. Example B player 2 thinks Ward will def score more than 10 so bets £10(per point ) MORE-he scores 14 (14-10= 4 X £10) so wins £40 however Ward struggles and scores 5(10-5=5 x£10) and loses £50 Example C player 3 thinks Bunyan has no chance of troubling the scorers and has £100(per point)Less than 1 he scores 0 (1-0=1 x£100)he wins £100 however Bunyan scores 3(3-1=2 X£100)loses £200 and is out of the competition. Rules if a rider withdraws through injury any bet on that rider is void(edits can be made upto start time) If a rider is injured during a meeting points scored by the reserves will be included in that injured riders score. if the result of a meeting is called at any stage after 20 heats the spreads will stand If the result of a meeting is called at the completion of 16 heats the spread will be adjusted to %80 of the orginal.
  3. i agree but did they have 2nd thoughts-because that wasn`t what they said in the press release post conference.
  4. this season`s rule book is on-line here http://www.scbgb.co....REGULATIONS.pdf Something i have just seen is that a missing D/U rider in the top 5 is replaced by R/R and if a D/U is at reserve then a PL guest is used.
  5. This is taken from a Telegraph article yesterday. " The company paid up to £40m for the Irish and UK channels, and will run some of these under the ESPN name, alongside the two new BT sports channels which it is preparing to launch in the summer." Surely therefore BT could purchase the GP`s and put them on the ESPN channel (subscription).
  6. There are a load of Saturday reserve dates in the offical fixture list for the Saturday TV matches-http://speedwayekstraliga.pl/zalaczniki/Terminarz%20DMP%202013.pdf
  7. Congratulations to " chestnut " on this appointment.Should think the riders will be pleased as he is universally liked, and is more likely to listen to them than the previous incumbent.
  8. I`m not an expert on Polish tv as i watch all the polish league on streams-however i do believe a Cyfra plus card would cover league and GP`s This might help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_in_Poland
  9. Easter Monday and as TVP haven`t got a contract i wouldn`t think so.
  10. Phil Morris would do it i`m sure and would do a good job.
  11. Matt Ford`s comments in the Echo -If only Middlo had said that. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/10241146.Pirates__Darcy_needs_professional_help_says_boss_Ford/
  12. Not hard to find he`s always advertising in the speedway star
  13. How the Aussie press have reported it http://www.qt.com.au/news/drunk-speedway-star-hightails-it-from-cops/1755067/
  14. Really good article on Dave in Backtrack mag issue 48-he was very honest in recounting the severe lows he experienced when he packed up racing.
  15. Dave Mullett is ducking and diving in rural Kent. Sold his sheep several years ago now,has a livery yard on his land and also rears baby chicks and sells them as point of lay chickens.
  16. According to a report in the Polish media Bahia Blanca`s licence has been suspended until an inspection from a FIM delegate can be made.
  17. Stadium way industrial estate is sited on the old Tilehurst stadium site in Reading
  18. Outside of Britain Per Jonsson is so revered in Torun that the road leading to the new stadium is called Per jonsson way.
  19. Reading borough council have recently asked for nominations for future road names-someone suggested Curtis(geoff) Pyeatt(Denny) Michanek (Anders) and Jonsson(Per). It set me wondering if there are any roads named after Speedway riders in the UK, Is there Fundin avenue in Norwich? Mauger close in Manchester ? Briggs Lane in Swindon etc etc
  20. You are wrong about the championship -normally one only live match shown to a world wide audience
  21. I have seen the crash (via Polish speedway site)but didnt want to link it here the tyre fence appeared to be part of the track. His front wheel clipped the back wheel of the rider in front picked up speed alarmingly and was in the fence in a split second.
  22. Tractor size tyres as a safety fence at the place of the high speed crash.Questions need to be asked about track safety .Did the track have to do anything differently for the world u21 meetings ?
