  2. Oh dear Jack and Sam Sportowefakty saying 6000 there.
  3. Far better to watch in English on my favourite streamer
  4. I cannot find anything-not mentioned on their website at all-I can only assume that because the race-card doesn`t show any gate positions-red/blue will be 1 and 3 and w/y 2 and 4 and the pair can choose who starts where.
  5. You needed to get up a bit earlier to do that joke-see post 6
  6. Very nasty crash http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/427357/zobacz-upadek-janusza-kolodzieja-i-mateusza-borowicza-wideo ( Iris 123 you don`t have to watch it )
  7. Indeed along with your mate Kevin but it`s not the same-will you have to find a stream to watch GP`s now ?
  8. I have noticed in today`s star that German Pay tv station sport 1+ have let their GP contract expire and are showing no real interest in renewing it-so the year that finally Germany has Martin Smolinski competing at the pinnacle of the sport, German fans won`t be able to watch it on TV.
  9. Deal has been done for the Polish speedway league(old div 1) to be televised on TVP sport-hopefully Lukasz Benz will be involved. 1st match is scheduled for Sunday April 13th and could be Rybnik v Bydgoszcz
  10. I thought that was more likely to have been the source of Phil the ace`s photo-only joking Phil
  11. A big thank you to everybody at the " Star " a superb edition. I ask the same question every year on here-anyone know if any of the fans view people are forum members ? The Newcastle fan certainly is !! although looking at his mug shot the star could have got the numbers in his age transposed the winner of the "most exotic job title must go to Eastbourne`s Grant Packham-"Aircraft Groomer " sounds a bit dodgy to me !!!
  12. Harris £20 more Ward £100 more Where are all the entries ?? hopefully there will be a load more before tapes up in New Zealand.
  13. Taken from the "speedway best pairs " website. Poland - Polish fans have been Waiting for 42 years for another success in international tournament of speedway pairs. On the 8th of June on Motoarena stadium Polish team (Tomasz Gollob, Adrian Miedziński and Jarosław Hampel) won in Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs beating Russia and Denmark. First and the only gold medal for Polish team won the pair: Jerzy Szczakiel and Andrzej Wyglenda on a Rybnik track in 1971. 1. Tomasz Gollob 2. Adrian Miedziński 15. Patryk Dudek Latvia - Speedway in Latvia is usually associated with such names as: Kjastas Puodżuks, Andrzej Lebiediew , Maksim Bogdanow, Wiaczesław Gieruckis and Jewgienij Kostygow. All this riders are known as the riders of Lokomotive Daugavpils. This team has really good scores in Polish first division. Older fans of speedway surely remember also brothers: Władimir and Iwan Rybnikow who were champions of Latvia many times. Young speedway riders will want to make a surprise in Speedway Best Pairs 2014. 3. Kasts Puodżuks 4. Andzejs Lebedeve 16. Maksim Bogdanovs Denmark - in the whole history of World Pairs Championships the best were Danes. They are on the top of medal classification which consists of scores of 23 years (from 1970 to 1993). Danish team won 17 medals in total. Eight times they were the champions. First time in 1979 in Vojens and last time in Poznan in 1991. In Torun Danes (Hans Andresen and Michael Jepsen Jensen) were third after the teams from Poland and Russia. Speedway European Championships runner-up and bronze medalist at the world championships as teammates! Nicki Pedersen and Niels Kristian Iversen will represent Denmark in the first round of the Speedway Best Pairs Cup . Three-time world champion and last season runner-up of Speedway European Championships – Nicki Pedersen and Niels Kristian Iversen, which presents an incredible form last seasons. Reserve in Torun will be Michael Jepsen Jensen . In speedway community are thinking that Nicki Pedersen cannot cooperate with colleagues from the team. Is like an individualist, but in Speedway Best Pairs Cup can support a partner. "I think our squad is very strong and we will do everything in our power to win in the first round of the Speedway Best Pairs Cup in Torun. There's no denying that our rivals are preparing an impressive rosters"- told us Nicki Pedersen . Throughout the history of the Speedway Pairs World Cup, Danes possessed the most effective duos. They lead the medal standings tournament, which was played over the 23 years (from 1970 to 1993 years ). Representatives of the smallest of the Nordic countries won 17 medals overall. Eight times they stood on the top of the podium - the first time in 1979 (Vojens) , and most recently in 1991 (Poznan). The premiere gold won a legendary pair of Ole Olsen - Hans Nielsen. Last year, in Torun, the Danes duo of Hans Andersen and Michael Jepsen Jensen finished third behind Russians and Poles. "I know Niels very well, from seven yearswe are riding together, and we know who is taking the path on the track. We look forward to this event. We know our value and we want to prove it" - adds the individual runner-up of Speedway European Championships. 5. Nicki Pedersen 6. Niels Kristian Iversen 17. Michael Jepsen Jensen Australia - Australians were on a podium of World Pairs Championships three times. They always missed something to win. Last medal for Australian team was won in 1990 on a German track in Landschut (on this track the second tournament of this year’s Speedway Best Pairs will take place). The pair from Antipodes won silver medal. Last year Australians (Chris Holder, Davey Watt and Jason Doyle) weren’t successful. They scored 26 points and were fourth. Chris Holder and Darcy Ward will present to fans on Motoarena and millions of fans of speedway on television around the world. Is still an open question - who will be the reserve of Australians. Last year, "Team Aussies" was represented by Chris Holder, Davey Watt and Jason Doyle. While "Chrispy" was one of the best players the tournament, so his partners could not consider his performance a success. With a total of 26 points – Australians acchived place outside the podium. For Darcy Ward tournament Speedway Best Pairs Cup will be the first major launch of the new season. In contrast to his colleague of the pair, he not competed in the individual championship of Australia, and for each other will only have a motocross training and pre-season free starts. Important is, that Holder and Ward are Unibax Torun riders. The 2012 world champion start there continuously since 2008 and Motoarena knows inside-out. Similarly, Darcy Ward , a young , rebellious but extremely talented speedway rider, who this year will help the Australian speedway legend - Jason Crump. 7. Chris Holder 8. Darcy Ward 18. Cameron Woodward Sweden - 12 medals - that’s the number which Swedes won in World Pair Championships. Their Scandinavian neighbors – Danes are five medals better. However Swedish team is very high in a general medal classification because they are on the third place. Last big success of the Swedish pair took place in 1993. Then in Vojens great day had Tony Rickardsson. His partners that day were Per Jonsson and Henrik Gustafsson (reserved). Last year during Speedway Best Pairs Swedish team took 6th place with 20 points. Most points for Bosse Wirebrand’s team scored Peter Ljung – 8. Six points scored Andreas Jonsson and Antonio Lindbaeck. 9. Andreas Jonsson 10. Antonio Lindbaeck 19. Peter Ljung Russia - interesting thing about this team is the fact that they never won any medal in Pair Championships (earlier they started as USSR). But during all these years they had many great riders. Last year on Motoarena Russia won regular phase but they lost in a great final of ESBT with Poles. On a second place of the podium were then: Emil Sajfutdinow, Grugorij Laguta and his brother Artiom. 11. Emil Sayfutdinov 12. Artem Laguta 20. Aleksandr Loktajew Germany - the only medal which German team won in World Pairs Championships was in 1977 in Manchester (then as the Federal Republic of Germany). Egon Muller and Hans Wassermann were worse only than England and Sweden. The bronze medal so far has been the biggest success of German team which got a chance to show a good speedway in on their land, Landshut (10th of May). This will be the first start of Germans since the tournament in Poznan (20th of July 1991) when Klaus Lauch and Tommy Dunker took fourth place after Norway. 13. Martin Smolinski 14. Kevin Woelbert 21. Max Dilger
  14. Mick Horton said he won`t run meetings until they have sorted out the track-Jeremy Heaver has said Mick Horton has decided not to race at Coventry(full-stop) very worrying state of affairs.
  15. Still think the Poland v England football international postponement in the new Warsaw stadium when they forgot to close the roof was the best !!
