Anyone who watches any Polish speedway will know that they are very strict on the start procedure over there. There is no lining up a bit behind the tapes-every rider has to have the front tyre almost touching the tape, also they are quick to ensure that all the riders(normally it`s gate 4 they pick up on) are lined up straight in their grid. Just before the start the start marshal always looks up to the ref for I presume the thumbs up before he walks away.

We now know the TV matches for round 9 on sunday 22nd June 1st up at 3.30 pm uk time Gdansk v Wroclaw followed by 6pm uk time Gorzow v Zielona Gora-it`s derby time again !!!

Interesting document from the Polish extraleague authorities dated Saturday 7th June -amongst which it states that the Polish league matches between Tarnow v Wroclaw andTorun v Leszno will be postponed if the Berwick staged GP qualifier is rained off and re-staged on Sunday 8th. It also lists the matches that would be called off if the Ljubljania meeting was delayed from Saturday to Sunday. We now know where Eurosport`s priorities lie(as we have already seen with the Tuesday Swedish coverage.)So lets hope BT sport see the value to getting some speedway contracts-and the viewers subs along with it-the GP`S and Sweden would be a good start with Poland to follow after that.

How about this then show speedway live at 6pm instead of the tennis,scrub the horse racing show from 8.15 to 8.30. so now you have 2 and a half hours. stay with the speedway until the final is run and then go to "delayed live " show Jumping-i have been to enough GP`S to know that between 8.40 and 8.55pm would be the normal finish time.
