Some observations after a fantastic weekend of GP speedway and visiting Berlin. The racing was top drawer on Saturday but if I heard the announcements correctly there was only one reserve at the meeting-surely Cyfer moved into the meeting early enough for the FIM to get a replacement, Is it about time the FIM also looked at who qualifies for a semi and possible injury to those riders-because one day we could get 2 semi-final qualifiers injured together in the one semi to make it a no race(2 starters only ) . Having now been at both Polish GP`s this season-whilst the pitifully small Bydgoszcz attendance wasn`t repeated here-Gorzow was by no means full, and certainly the price of tickets cannot be the reason-I paid all in £22 for 1st bend and some mates of mine paid £17 only for 3rd bend tickets-amazing value. it set me thinking that the Gollob factor could be one of the main reasons.Kasprzak(apart from in Gorzow) and Hampel don`t have the same appeal to the Polish fans. If Gorzow v Zielona Gora sells out,why has the GP got several 1,000 unsold seats. Maybe Poland is so used to top quality line-ups for their league racing,plus having 3 GP`s a season-they are just not enough of a draw for fans to travel miles to watch it. Finally had a glimpse of Berlin`s history yesterday on a bus tour-and would recommend a visit.

I have had a rely to my latest email as below " As the coverage is being split across the two channels and in order to ensure none of the action is missed, the decision was taken to broadcast the action delayed from 8pm on 9th September. It’s the same for the 2nd leg the following week, where we will be broadcast the action in full but on a delayed basis in order to protect it from potential live cricket and football overruns. " Whilst as a layman I can`t really see why if Eurosport in Europe are showing it live-British Eurosport couldn`t do the same-although I have been told that when They show part on one channel and part on another live in Europe It does cause problems for British Eurosport`s coverage, so maybe they are doing the right thing in this instance.

The Eurosport schedule is out for the Semi-final 1st legs on Tuesday 9th September. Eurosport Poland are showing it LIVE on Eurosport 2 for 1 hour before switching to Eurosport 1 for the remaining 1 hour. Now British Eurosport 2 we can only see it "delayed live " starting at 8 pm for 2 hours 15mins. Better than nothing I admit-but let`s see why it`s not live- 6pm and 7 pm they have recorded American football from the previous weekend. Surely they could just swap the programmes around-is that to much to ask ?? Have fired another email off to Eurosport !!!! This is what I wrote Hello thank you for your latest communication. British Eurosport are showing at 8pm on Eurosport 2 for 2 hours 15mins- ie "delayed live" On at 6pm are 2-1 hour recorded American football programmes from the weekend matches-can you give me one good reason why these programmes cannot be swapped around-with the result that like European Eurosport we could watch the speedway live

I have now had my reply as well-reading between the lines they can`t be bothered to show Swedish speedway on British Eurosport if they are not showing it in Europe-which slightly mystifies me as this is exactly what they do with the GP`s
