Darcy may well be minted but I’m sure he would rather be able to walk and have the use of his hands, don’t forget that the money raised is being shared between Comic Relief and the Darcy Ward Foundation, a foundation set up to help Darcy and other people with similar injuries. I have just got home after 300 mile round trip to Poole from Mid Wales, yes, I am disappointed not have seen more racing but when all the riders say the track is unfit we have to accept their opinion

The sport was made to look a complete joke when Bruce announced on the World Final rostrum ( although it was his right ) that he was leavening the sport to become what turned out to be a second rate actor, then a year later Egon Muller became a what was perceived to be an unworthy world champion ( which I do not agree with at all), since that time the media which built the sport up be something it was not, have has had a compete downer on it. What the answer is I only wish I knew, it is true that we cannot compete with payments in Poland & Sweden but I feel all true fans should support the BSPA in the reorganisation of Speedway in the UK, the bubble must burst in Europe at some time the near future due to unrealistic wage costs and we as a country must have in place a viable and cost effected league system in place to accommodate riders if and when it is needed

I really hope that someone picks up the UK TV rights to the Swedish Elite League for 2016 instead of Eurosport as their 2015 coverage was absolutely abysmal. The coverage of the GP's was OK but of course the feed was supplied by the rights holder which I fully expect BT Sports to continue with but hopefully a lot less interruptions from commentators that are not at the event. From what little I have seen of BT they seem to have got right for UK for audiences , I would like to think that they could eventually become the Speedway channel for the UK , to include British, Swedish, GP, Euro & maybe Polish meetings. I think is possible so I'm going to try them for next year. I live in hope.

What an advert for the sport, a great meeting it had everything, a great crowd, good racing, two very competitive teams giving their all and in the end a very fair result. For Belle Vue Zagar was outstanding and for Poole Starke was the man the of the match. Whatever happens on Wednesday, whoever the winners are will know that that they deserve to be the 2015 Elite League champions. As a Poole fan I am hoping for the team to become only the forth team since the introduction of league racing to complete three or more top division titles in consecutive years (the others being Belle Vue 1933 - 34 - 35 - 36 & 1970 - 71 - 72, Wembley 1949 - 50 - 51 - 52 - 53, Wimbledon 1954 - 55 - 56 & 1958 - 58 - 59 - 60 - 61 ) but if Belle Vue win I shall be among the first to applaud them on a great achievement. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS ​
