The thing is Chris has Norrie Allen with him for the GP's, Norrie has huge experience of these tracks, set-up etc from the years with Mark Loram and will (or atleast should) be passing all this knowledge on to Chris! Guess the question is, does Chris take notice or does he think he will ride his own race? Heck I put £1 each way on him for the Danish GP I was so sure he could make it to the final out there Personally, if Mark's leg was up to it, I would ask him to attend a couple of GP's with Chris and Scott as advisor and see if he could help them overcome whatever it is that is holding them back! We all know that both these boys can beat the best on their night, just wish one of these nights would be a GP night!

Well Done to Nicolai on Qualifying!

was watching those a couple of nights ago and wondering how watching a couple of lads riding around the streets of Copenhagen on pushbikes with baskets on the front was gonna be a big seller for the Grand Prix! And we thought we had strange ideas in advertising with Bomber holding a gold medal and just standing there!

Well OK, here is one for you: In the SGP Regulations 2008 it states as follows: WILD CARD RIDER Proposals must be made in writing to the FIM not later than 2 months prior to the meeting. The SGP Commission will make the final approval and nominations. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Does this mean that all we had to say was that whoever won or was the highest scoring rider in the British Final other than Nicholls or Harris would be the Wild Card for Cardiff and that was agreed? and if the SGP Commission make the final approval surely if they don't agree with whomever this is then they will just put someone else in anyway

especially after his dismal performance at Boro on Thursday night! let's hope for Wolves sake he brings this form back for his EL meeting against Belle Vue on Monday, unless he is saving it just for the GP's

Are Pearson & Tatum At The Track?
SuzieQ replied to longlivefrankie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
although at one point tonight they did say something about "just down below us here" when stating about one of the crashes! -
Does that matter? this is getting like, my dad's bigger than your dad! neither of them are good enough for a wild card at Cardiff let alone gettting into the GP's! Give it up now boys! and by that I mean you lot trying to suggest them!

The amount of times I have watched the replays now and even had my extremely unbiased and totally unbothered about speedway husband of mine watch it and he says the same as me, Gollob moved to the left but Jonsson was pulling towards the right, obviously (well not that we are mind readers) planning on sweeping around the outside of Gollob going into the bend! As Steve says, he clipped Gollobs back wheel, racing incident! Personally I don't have much time or support for either of them so I am not biased one way or the other!

Hey! don't knock it till you reach it! Actually life in the mid 40's ain't so bad really!

That is sad news, I wish him well and hope he makes a full recovery from this!

I am working on them and will need to knows numbers and sizes etc! -
Told my dad about this at lunchtime and he was saddened by the news! Dad rode for Newtown Eagles along with Brian Hanham and Brian Crutcher, not to mention all the others that came along during that time and then exchanged the pushbikes for ones with motors! Please pass on our condolences to family and friends of Brian and thank you for bringing this new to our attention. Sue (daughter of Dave McCrow - ex Newtown Eagle)

Trying reading my post correctly! I said a crap GP (as in the German round) Never mentioned the series did I?
-
But what about Harris' move on Scott prior to that? very ala Pedersen/Hancock with a gnats whisker to spare between his back wheel and Scott's front wheel. But guess you will get the Nicholls fans and the Harris fans on here bickering it out!
-
The GP's are individual!!! It doesn't matter if it was a team mate from Coventry or not! Besides which if Harris hadn't had such a crap GP he would not have been in that situation! I am happy with the result, Scott gets automically into next years GP, Harris will get a wildcard anyway!

Various people have more rooms booked than required in case friends decide they want to go after all etc! -
Well pleased for Scott tonight! Gutted for Jason! oh the Highs and Lows of a GP!
-
Congratulations to Nicki, he has ridden like a World Champ all season.

Trees The winnings for all GP's are in US Dollars, that is the way it has been for many years now! I have never fully understood why but accept that they have decided to make the pay structure this way!

I miss Waggy! awful Promoter but not too bad as a Team Manager really!
-
Hey, you can't blame Boycey! Allen should never have been there in the first place! (and by there I mean at Coventry on a Speedway Bike) 1. I love Colin to bits, but he is no leader for Team GB. 2. No way should the clown ever be considered to take over! 3. Now Sam I could see in that role, however, he is American and I disagree with another nation running our national team! That was always my argument in Football!
