  1. some people could do with learning to read. I never said there was no malice intended. for obvious reasons I can't say that. However I said that I don't believe there was any, purely my opinion and one i'm entitled to. Hans Andersen is a rider i'm proud to cheer on in panthers colours, and a rider i'd much rather have in the team I support rather than damp squib Nicholls.
  2. Just seen a few replays and genuinely can't see anything wrong with the move. All through the meeting hans had been coming from the inside line at the corner, right across to the fence at a much steeper angle than everyone else, it almost looked as though he looked out the corner of his eye to see where nicholls was, thought he was far enough behind, then came across to the fence, and maybe miscalculated slightly. Whereas nicholls' move on hans seemed a bit more of a red mist situation, where he got rather close to hans' leg mid-corner. Did rather amuse me the handbags from nicholls when hans tried to shake his hand though. When it came down to it though, nicholls and andersen preferred completely different lines, hans going from inside to right on the outside, whereas nicholss going from further outside to more inside, so they were always going to cross, as it looked like Hans was trying to explain to his mechanic after the race. I genuinely believe there was no malice intended.
  3. how often does that happen? When I travelled to wolves vs peterborough, the announcer announced we (myself and the other panthers fans) were heckling wolves... errr, no mate, we're cheering on our team.
  4. If Hans had tried to put Nicholls in the fence, Nicholls would have been in the fence, but he didn't, so he didn't end up in the fence! Hans was simply going from the inside line, to the outside, as (from what i've seen) he did constantly throughout the meeting, and as he was in front, choosing his own line is his prerogative! but oh well.
  5. more constructive than you lot branding hans the spawn of the devil. I like, and admire Hans as when you're watching him race, he never gives up, he always seems to be putting in 100%. He has a real never say die attitude. His race in heat 15 against Wolves on sky against PK a few weeks ago was perfect proof of that. He may be a particularly forceful rider, but you have that sort of personality in all sorts of sports. Roy Keane in football, Michael Schumacher in F1, Hans Andersen in Speedway. It's what makes them winners. and right now? Hans is most certainly a winner.
  6. Colin Horton. Taking over the world one step at a time.
  7. my comeback has begun. and niels almost made the semis, and from there, anything could have happened!
  8. to be fair to niels, having seen a tape of the gp, he did so much better than his points total suggests.
  9. he did better than nicki. besides, you wouldn't have been saying that if my gamble paid off. unfortunately it didn't. and rickardsson sucked too. I was gonna say that in the next gp i'll put a couple of points on hans, but I only have two.
  10. Thanks a lot Niels. now to see if I can make some sort of comeback, Last-2-1st, I'm after you.
  11. yes but there were no more gp's to bet on, so 1 point was my total! my rightful place is last, not out of the game.
  12. Cheat! I didn't run out of credits dammit! I have 1 left! I had 42 going into the final round, I put 40 on one of the track reserves (terenzani i think) and 1 point on the other... They scored me no points thus leaving me with 1 point, and my rightful finishing position of 55th and LAST!
  13. I want to be a bit different, but the Union Flag is there... just squint a bit.
  14. in that case they should try my idea... each team names their two riders in heat 15 (R1 and R2), as usual, but they name another two to wait in the pits (R3 and R4).... R1 and R2 go out and do three laps, then stop, get off the bike, sprint to the pits, tag R3 and R4, who sprint back to the bikes, get started and do the final 3 laps. you know it makes sense.
  15. thanks for the help but i've given up... i'm probably down to work friday night, and it'd be a rush home on sunday ready to start work at 3. I'll meet forum members some other time, considering trips to both coventry and poole soon. Have fun at Cardiff, people. (including aunt and uncle who didn't ask if I was interested in going )
  16. hmmm... *ponders* this cardiff lark is getting tempting. and a bargain seat like that too... now... the maths... £53 to get there, £25 or £27 to get in... plus £20-£40 to sleep soundly = £98 - £118... plus money to survive... say £30? takes it up to £128 - £148... but then, just for the fun of it, I could always travel first class and take the cost up to £332. panthersfan is unsure. he shall have to ponder when he's more awake.
  17. Of course.. we should ALL love ABBA. I'm not a fan of ABBA... and I certainly wouldn't consider myself musically narrow minded. However, this isn't ABBA, this is Bjorn Again. a group of people pretending to be ABBA.
