Firstly, why state NL riders at reserve and then change it. Changing the goalposts before the season has started. I then think Leicester have been shafted with their positioning in the draft, they should get first pick surely. Why have a draft if all draft riders aren't available. Protected riders in a draft just devalues the draft. Either draft riders properly or let promoters approach riders.

All sports which use the draft system use this method. What is stupid is protecting the assets. You either have a draft system where all riders can be drafted or you don't bother.

It would just sum up the BSPA to announce that a NL rider will fill position 6/7 and then state PL riders with certain averages can also ride. The clarity in their press release every year is poor and I'm being kind. I'll be saving my money most weeks unless they decide to review admission prices which I expect they won't.
