British Semi-final # 1 Sheffield

Hope Auty gets a wild card ahead of Stead. Stead is yet to ride this year and is poor at best around Monmore when fit. -

Not much interest? Sad state of affairs really.... Hoping Josh gets through this meeting! -

I know it rained. But from the comments that I've read about your promoter being distraught seem a little OTT imo. There is always a chance that the rain will cause an abandonment, therefore, this should have been in mind. -

I'm assuming Scunthorpe applied to host this meeting, if it was too much to take on then perhaps it should be moved to a different venue next year. -
British Gp Tv Ad

I cringe every time they show it. I also find it ironic that Bomber is the only British person yet he doesn't have a line. It looks like Bomber stumbles when he first gets up as well! -

Thankfully I was out last night so I could whiz through this on Sky+ Seemed liked they just wanted to get the 16 heats done really, not very good tbh. Luckily no one had a serious injury, hope Crump recovers quickly.B -
British Final & Semi-finals
TrueBee replied to gypilgrim's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I would say the British semi final is priority unless the rider wishes to withdraw. The rider who was injured (Tai I assume) shouldn't get his place back, it should be the riders who were ready for tapes up on Friday imo. -
Thanks for getting back to me. In my opinion the riders should get a new average after every meeting apart from assessed riders. I guess the only problem with that is the advanced team declaration but I can't see that being a problem we can't overcome. Maybe this is something which can be addressed over time.

Leszno Gp 30th April 2011

Well done Nicki! Meeting definitely got better as it progressed but 3 hours for 23 heats is far too long in my opinion. -

Two good decisions by the ref. Awful meeting so far though, dust from heat 1 lol -
If a rider has an official rolling average, does their average get updated in real time i.e. After each meeting. Or will the new averages be given on a monthly basis? Thanks.

Elite League Pairs
TrueBee replied to I HATE THE RAIN's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Well done Poole, by far the best pair on the night. Not much team riding on display....quite the opposite in fact. Batchelor definitely at fault he semi-final, he just turned onto Rory who rode very well last night. Bees were poorer than I expected and how unlucky was Bjerre! In summary, congratulations Poole! -

Now Andersen is out we might as well give Pawlicki some track time there. -

It will be 10 pairing as per BSPA website - http://www.speedwaygb.co/elpairs.html Pooles twitter feed has confirmed that they're in Group B with Coventry, Eastbourne, Lakeside and Belle Vue. -

Not much interest in tomorrow's meeting I take it? Or have I missed the thread? Hope Auty can win the title but I know he isn't keen on the Lakeside track, hopefully he will come out on top though! -

You kept saying we were 5 points over the limit when we beat you comfortably in the playoff final, you could at least be consistant Yet a number have teams have done this already, as far as I'm aware no rules have been declared. Lets hope we get some answers on this matter shortly, it's all getting pretty boring now...
