  1. Just to let people know they are building a new, quite large Etap hotel next to the Novotel on Tyndall St. Which is within walking distance of the stadium & @£32 a night is not too bad. If the rules are the same as in Germany you cannot book Etap hotels more than 100 days in advance. So I think it may be March before you can book it.
  2. I think that Hans & Re-Run Rune will qualify, but the other one is anybody's. Anyone from Kolodziej, Max, Karlsson, Protasiewicz, Sullivan, Ferjan or even Jagus (who rode for VMS for a few seasons up till this year & fly's around Vetlanda) have a chance of qualifying for next year's GP. I think this could be the meeting of the year & can't wait for it
  3. Anyone know what time practise is for the GP Saturday. Last year it was 5pm but they are usually 3pm & we dont want to spend too long in the Italian afternoon sun.
  4. I think it is strange that they have not announced the wild card yet. I think they are either waiting to see who rides well in the qualifying mettings on the weekend or they are waiting to see if Rickardsson retires early.
  5. How the hell are Richardson & Kennett in these meetings, I thought that it was based on the British championship debarcle they had at Belle Vue. If they were going to ignore the result of that why can't they put the world class Loramski in instead of the time wasters Richardson & Kennett. I looks to me that the Tarnow round looks far more difficult than the other 2, there seem to be any of about 9 riders that could go through from Tarnow where as the others seem to have about 4 or 5 half decent riders in them.
  6. I've only just got back from Saturdays meeting & I can safely say the track was about the worst I've ever seen for a GP (Gothenburg exepted). There was ton's of loose stones on the outside which made it unridable. During the interval they came out & rolled it with a road roller which made a big diference, I just dont understand why they didn't do that to start off with. I would like to thank the Danish muppets too for all the free beer that was thrown about, I'm afraid it seems to get worse every year at Parken. I saw 1 Swedish fan have a pint of beer dumped over his head, his crime was to wave his flag after AJ had won a heat. There seemed to be more empty seats this year as well & very few traveling fans, with the way the locals behave I'm not surprised.
  7. There are 4 of us going, we are hoping to go to U21 in Italy then drive up to Latvia. My insurance company won't insure me for Latvia or Lithuania so I am hoping to be able to buy a green card at the border. We booked our hotel before Christmas & have also booked our tickets.
  8. When we went a few years ago for the GP, the Grandstand wasn't finished & our seats were fold up chairs put down on the concrete. Which was ok until a very drunken Pole fell forward & took out 3 rows.
  9. I understand the Slovakia Golden Helmet meeting is on the Sunday after the Prague GP at Zarnovica. Does anyone out there have any info on what riders may be involved & a possible start time please.
  10. Don´t know if we shall bother, fed up of being showered in beer from the drunken Danes.
  11. Thanks very much Mateusz for the info. Hope you enjoy the GP
  12. Can anyone please tell me the start times of the sunday meetings in Poland this weekend, as we would like to do one after the GP. Many Thanks.
  13. Me & my Wifey heading off in the car tonight. Ferry booked for 2am, so a very laid back journey to Poland.
  14. The stadium put a guy by the cash desk who spoke perfect English last year, who gave out info on collecting tickets & general info.
  15. If anyone wants to suggest a time & place we will hopefully be at Terme Catez on Thursday afternoon. I will be checking the net when I get there. Can't wait now were off in an hour.
  16. We are setting off tomorrow in the car. I was wondering if any other forum members were going & if there is a forum meet up going on.
  17. They have always had a second presentation after the meeting presentation to give out the top three trophy's at the last gp.
  18. Chris, I think you will find it was probebly me who thought the meeting at Gorican starts @ 2pm. If you are the same Chris who me & the Mrs were chatting to in the bar after the Sean Wilson Meeting. Try this link for distances & travel times from Terme Catez. http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/gbr...=18&image2.y=13
  19. Any idea what time the meeting starts?
  20. Try this link http://www.autoklub.cz/acr/fmsacr/plocha/2...ny_kalendar.pdf
  21. Does anyone know if there is a TV meeting on the Monday after the Wroclaw GP. We are going to the Czestochowa V Bydgoscz meeting on the Sunday (after deciding Rzeszow was too far to drive on Sunday morning) & would like to do a meeting Monday if possible.
  22. I tipped Krasnikov after the Inzell weekend & it looks like he dominated the meetings this weekend. Krasnikov & Eibl are the only Beru Blue Power sponsered riders & with Eibl being out of his depth Krasnikov has the best machinery in the contest (with the possible exeption of Franky, but he is an out and out gater & as we know, first out of the gate doesn't always win in Ice Speedway). p.s. Still no sign of my new passport.
  23. There is a massive camp site at Hurley, It's right next to the River & is quiet. I used to use it for the Reading festival rather than stay at the festival site.
  24. I live in Cardiff & I'm not sure if I'll bother this year. I also won't bother with Copenhagen, but will do all the others. Last year there was little atmosphere at Cardiff, the racing was rubbish & to have a parade of riders with no riders speaks for itself. As far as Copenhagen is concerned I've been to all the previous ones & come back covered in beer thanks to the wonderfull Danish fans, having fun chucking beer off the balconies. Put down tracks, No thanks!
  25. I got the impression that Mike Goulding was not overley happy with the way the World Cup meetings were organised by BSI, & was not keen to repeat the exercise.
