  1. As 3 of Sheffield's 5 riders for tomorrows meeting have been injured tonight at Berwick, with both Auty and Skidmore having to withdraw, I think our chances of coming anywhere in this meeting may have nose dived. Sneaky tactics by Berwick??
  2. I would sit down if I were you - nobody else has got a clue and so your legs might start to ache...
  3. Sheffield have named Ricky and Josh as the riders representing us - surely that has got to make us favourites Screen or no Screen
  4. Didn't think it was a bad meeting overall:- overtaking, crashes etc, but (and I know other people have raised the question) WTF was the ref on for excluding Schramm??? Harris screwed up and Schramm paid the price - ludicrous
  5. Had a few spots of rain inthe city centre, but nothing of concern - overcast but dry for most of the day so far... suggest you bring a coat though, its a tad chilly
  6. Now on the sheffield website - he's at sheffield instead of Bunyan
  7. Apparently Josh Auty is now in the meeting - who has dropped out?
  8. Nicholls was pants at Sheffield last year when he rode in the Ben Fund meeting and doesn't Auty need somebody to get injured before he stands a chance of going through? In which case I hope he isn't in the meeting. From the Sheffield leg you would have to hope that the home riders (incl. Compton) would be up there, but when there are 8 full time elite league riders in the line up, plus the likes of Howe and Bunyan, things could get interesting. Looking at the line up, I don't think there is a rider who you would automatically discount from going through in this leg (granted there are a few that you would expect to be more going for 8th spot than 1st) I agree that it should be a great night of speedway and I'm looking forward to it already!
  9. oh dear.... If not at Sheffield, would prefer to have seen it go to a race track.
  10. Some superb racing last night... might even go as far as to say some of the best racing I have seen this year.
  11. I agree that it would probably bring about a fairer result to have it on a neutral track and that should be the case in an ideal world. But they have tried moving the events to neutral tracks and it never seems to work. At least Sheffield is a first class facility and normally provides top notch racing. Think Ricky thoroughly deserved the win on tonights performance, he fought hard for his points and did well when coming from behind.
  12. Wasn't the idea that as there is an individual meeting a couple of weeks later and this would be a slightly different format for the fans to watch?
  13. Doubt it... one of the first meetings of the season, on a track that he's ridden on only a few times (and not since Sean's Cracker to my knowledge), probably freezing conditions, and on a track that will have been prepared to ensure that the meeting is on rather than for speed. Anybody involved in the Ozchem meeting might stand more of a chance - but even then I would say it would be very unlikely to be broken
