  1. As far as I know - James Sarjeant for Koppe and r/r for Haines. Compton is on standby in case anybody else is injured/goes walkabout
  2. Anybody know anything further about the handbags between Roynan and Lawson? the former was complaining that the latter cocked his first bend up in heat 13 - but I must confess that I didn't see anything wrong from where I was stood.Things were still rumbling on after the meeting. In view of the heat 13 clash, I was very surprised that we opted to use Lawson and Roynan in heat 15, they were never going to ride as a team and quite frankly Lawson looked like he really couldn't be arsed in the race (he looked good for the rest of the night once he got the setup sorted after heat 1). Well done to Rye House, they got the better of the first few heats and then there wasn't much to call between the teams after that.
  3. He looked alright at Sheffield last week in the Top Gun meeting, until his engine went bang
  4. The reference to `Sheffield` should be taken with a pinch of salt.... Stead, Haines and Koppe are out and if the USA do the unthinkable tonight, we could be without Wells as well
  5. Wells (World Cup) and Koppe (shoulder) also out for Sheffield. Could be another tough night for the Tigers.
  6. I presume at some point they were released on 'green sheets', how long ago are we talking?
  7. Can't help thinking that Facu just needs some decent machinery under him to make a good rider - he's making the moves but just doesn't seem to have the horsepower to pull them off. As an aside - Ashworth didn't look too shabby after the meeting.
  8. Somebody commented that heat 15 was one of the best races they had seen at Owlerton, difficult to disagree.
  9. Think that you're being unnecessarily pessimistic as to your chances - there are a lot teams that have `historically` done badly at Owlerton that are pushing us/beating us now. I hope that with Roynan signed and Facu at reserve we should hold our own and beat you - might depend on how Worral rides, I seem to remember last year that he was disappointing to say the least
  10. If Steady is hoping to be back for the PLRC, surely he will need a team place... Is he going to be replaced or not? As he will be out for 8 weeks rather than the season has the decision been taken to make do rather than mend?
  11. I would imagine that it will be guests rather than rider replacement, although you can pick and choose horses for courses they never work out as well as having your own riders, so I think a new signing will be on its way soon, the question is, who???
  12. Bad times, good luck with whatever he decides to do
  13. Or is that they had to wait for the new averages to come out before they could re-declare the team and they need to wait for BSPA approval? Glasgow signed Andre 3 or 4 days before they officially announced him as being in the side after approval was given. (I don't know if that is the case here, but it would make sense)
  14. Sorry I take it back, still on I flicked on the website and saw match postponed, but just looked again and it wAs the Rye house meeting announcement. Numpty.
  15. Where's this rumour come from out of interest? Seems a curious move for Andre to me
  16. Just thinking, could the R/R being at 5 be down to the fact that Facu was only declared as not riding on the day of the meeting ie after the team was declared programmes printed etc?
  17. They said that about Stead and then he was signed the following day...
  18. It would probably have meant given Koppe 4 rides on the spin at the end of the meeting if we didn't give Knight 5?
  19. Been fine all morning, just had a shower in town, but looks like its passing over now and think the forecast is good for later. Don't think there will be any problems based on what we've had so far.
  20. An interesting match up, if Sheffield (minus Albin) continue from last week we should be ok, any drop in that performance could see us come off second best again. Here's hoping that Koppe's and Haines' upturn in fortunes wasnt just a flash in the pan Mod Note: PLEASE remember and put meeting dates in headings. Thanks
  21. Regardless of whether or not it has to be inspected, doesn't the problem remain that there isn't enough time between the dogs finishing and the speedway starting to erect an air fence due to the size/length of sheffield's bends?
