Only just seen your response. If you were stood 5 yards away (on the dog track), you would have had a large mesh screen between you as well as the fence and the air fence, as opposed to where I stood looking along the track, no obstructions for me. When I say the best man won, I mean that the person who has topped this season's averages inthe PL won. Yes, he got the best gate in the final, but he has been doing that all season and that is why he topped the averages in all probability. -
According to the Sheffield Star, the first signing may well be announced at the presentation night on 16 October. As the article refers to "new blood" it may give us an idea of which way the team is going to go. You have to presume that Stead, Bates and Poole are nailed on certainties (subject to fitness guarantees) so the first signing might give a clue if we are going for a big top end or a more balanced side

I wouldn't complain at that team although would be nice to fit Andre in given how well he was going before the crash

So you were on the dog track? From where I was stood near the pits, he didn't hit the fence, the chaps that do the updates (and a cracking job they do) tend to stand on bend 1 (or they used to at least) at the far end of the track, given the distance involved I'm not sure that they can be relied upon for accuracy. Anyways, the best man won so does it really matter?!? Stead has topped the averages by over half a point in the league, so has proven across the season that he is top dog and that he isn't just a one night wonder -
Is that with him saying that he would be racing again next season earlier?

And not forgetting Eastbourne...

Please god, don't go Elite! We'll be without a club within a year - a year of us having to watch teams made up of national league riders and guests for team members riding elsewhere (think how annoying it was for Proctor to be missing meetings this year). Premier league is where the smart money should stay

Was there? Nobody else seemed to see it, either between Simon and Josh or between Josh and the fence -

Congratulations to Steady! He showed he was determined to win it all night and made no mistakes in the final. Shame about the whole Josh / Stead incident and the unsavoury aftermath in the crowd around the pits and elsewhere, not often you see fights kicking off at speedway and thanks to Rob Godfrey for attempting to calm things down and for the blokes involved in preventing/breaking up a bit of a scuffle that kicked off right next to me and my 6 year old daughter -

Can I put Bellego on my wish list for next year please!! The boy is fast as duck Don't like to criticise... But why did we not give Ben one of Josh's rides? He was riding far better and may have meant that we got 3 points instead of 2 -

Anybody know if Stead and Bates are fit to ride? Stead didn't ride last night for Leicester and it sounds like Josh fell and withdrew from the meeting too -

It was R/R for Steady in Leicester's match tonight I noticed -

Not sure where to start.... The entire team rode superbly. Was going to pick out Steady's heat 9 ride, but all 6 riders had at least one brilliant race. Workington helped with not being that good, but think we could've beaten anybody tonight -

Very very very With more rain forecast later, it has got to be doubtful -
Think the Argentinian championship is similar to the New Zealand one, where nationality is considered to be overrated! More of a championship in Argentina than an Argentinian championship (if that makes sense)

The only way we will stand a chance is if the Masters who guested for us turns up instead of the Usual Masters -
Berwick V Sheffield 9th Aug 2014 @ 7pm

The difference being that by the sounds of it, Berwick were good where as Worky were a bit crap the other night... -
Interesting to see how he gets on, Proctor just seemed to be coming good (at home anyway), not sure if Nico will be as good as Proctor was becoming, but from what I've seen of him, he should be entertaining at the very least... If only there was another Argentinian rider that we could bring in to keep him company

They announced after the meeting that Josh had a headache but that was it. Can't believe that he didn't break anything in what was a sickening looking crash. I heard him hit the fence from near the start line Should also say, cracking rides from both guests, we would have been up against it without them with Taylor looking down on power in comparison to recent weeks
