So Kyle started the season with a 6.57 average and ended with a 6.98 average, including having had a spell at number 1 riding against the best riders in the league every race... not sure that I follow the logic of saying that he had a bad year.
Great article in the Star about Matousek, I remember loving to watch him tide, but don't think I was old enough to realise how good he actually was on the works scene
Damian Bates said that there would be news on the team manager over the next couple of weeks.
I did think Ash would probably be the prime candidate - he was already meant to be getting involved in the training track I seem to recall
I concede it doesn't leave a lot of time... But on a 2.45 finish it gives you 3 hours 15 and realistically a bit longer because belle vue won't start bang on 6pm by the time they do presentations etc. That said if I was a Leicester fan with a ticket I would be peeved
Apparently the Leicester meeting starts at 1pm so there would, theoretically, be time to do both. Doubt Mr Bates is that bothered about it clashing with Belle Vue, it will be Leicester's ticket sales that will suffer rather than Sheffield's
Not sure which state it was, but one of them has said no out of state riders are allowed in their competition.
In any event, Proctor doesn't fit with the people was release of an exciting British rider and a European
Good signing. The problem with Richard in the past has been that he has had a heat leader average but struggled away from home...he now has a low average which will fit with his away ability and we know that he is more than capable of making a mockery of it at home. Also, he is fantastic to watch 😃
He actually said 'it looks like it's time to move on' which would suggest he has been told that he is surplus to requirements. Personally think that he could still have done us a good job, but there you go we will now never know
