I couldnt make it last night so cant comment in the delays per se, but surely not the promotions fault that the ambulance got caught up in a traffic jam on its way to the meeting.

Not surprising that its off given the road on one side of my office looks very similar to the river on the other side of it!

Looking at the weather forecast it doesn't look good for seeing any action tonight, which means last week was my last for the year 😞

Bjerre and Howarth would be good whatever league we are in. If we remain in this league Georgie would be on my team sheet too.

Chris Louis was on the phone before leaving the pits last night trying to find a guest. Ty was at sheffield which may explain him riding for you.

Hope Ben is ok, nasty looking accident. Second leg will depend on what guest/s Ipswich can muster up I think. Winning there twice on the spin is probably wishful thinking, but hopefully we can push them and get a result.

Oh dear. Thought we would lose, but not that badly. Kyle and Josh G might not have won us the meeting, but think it would have been closer with them in the team. Probably not helped that King and co from Ipswich have ridden our track 3 or 4 times in the last month and so have got to know the track

So that's the league and the pairs sorted, just the knock out cup and CLRC to go...

I wasn't there, what referee decisions were wrong? there didn't seem to be anything controversial from the updates save for a couple of comments made about Sarjeant' starts, but that's nothing new!!

Sheffield have overturned a bigger deficit in the past against Edinburgh I recall, but on this occasion the form of Sheffield riders and recent results would suggest that we should go through, just hope that all stay safe

Bit of both, Worral was woeful, Bewley had problems at first but looked better in his last couple of rides, Summers tried but was just out ridden, Bowtell was just out of his depth, Sarjeant either gated and won or didn't and didn't, Lawson was Lawson and rode well when he hit the front. The worrying thing for Glasgow and whoever we face next, is that arguably our 3 heat leaders weren't at their best tonight and the winning margin could easily have been greater

My version of light rain and the BBC's are different - just got soaked in town Still think it will be on though as long as it stops as forecast prior to 4pm

It's been dry so far, rain is still forecast for this pm before drying up again for tonight. BBC has downgraded from heavy rain to light rain and the length of time it was due to rain for has decreased too.... I would say the odds are 70/30 for it being on - but then I lost a shed load of cash at the St Leger last weekend which probably proves that I don't understand betting odds!!!!

I'm not so sure - I know we had some gremlins at the start of the Ipswich meeting, but they were giving us more than a run for our money until heat 12 and we haven't exactly pulled up any trees at their place this year. Think both teams would be fairly confident of their chances over the 2 legs

Not the most exciting couple of meetings, save for Lasse Bjerre and his wall of death moves! Can't believe how wide that guy can ride - possibly the only person who gets closer to the fence than Richard Hall used to

The curfew is alive and kicking at Owlerton- fairly sure Bates made reference to it having to be adhered to and the pre-season news conference thing they did. We've had meetings finish for 9pm with an interval - so 1.5hrs to run. Start 15mins early, only grade the track after 7 heats, don't allow any messing about for choosing riders for heat 15, tell the ref to keep things moving at a pace and pray that there are no crashes!
