  1. The council will not allow the old stadium to be knocked down until the new one is built, part of the original agreement if I remember rightly? Justin Tomlinson is also still watching over things as he has been bombarded on Twitter and Facebook by fans, Quote.... "Re: Concerns about complaints of noise from residents of the new houses. Hmm, not sure they'd have much grounds buying a house next to a stadium! In theory the same worry applied when St. Andrews Ridge was built, but residents not only didn't complain, but overwhelmingly supported the campaign to keep the stadium in 2008. Finally have also been working hard to make sure the community facilities are enhanced, in particular the market facility being upgraded which is much needed for the hard working traders. I have also put forward a number of local organisations / businesses that potentially could also use space within the new stand."
  2. Doyley wasn't used as he asked for more than Swindon were prepared to pay but yes feel sorry for Birks but a massive gamble for any team with that injury Has he signed for a Premier team yet??
  3. Sorry Poole Peter Kildemand back with the Robins
  4. Philip I did that earlier in the year and he didn't even have the decency to reply back to me I thought it was great having the list of photographer's in Speedway Star Xtra but some must be that over run with work they can't find time to reply and believe me I've tried to contact a few Try Jeff Davies as I know he frames photos and he was at the play off finals between Poole and Birmingham. Always great to deal with and his email address is jeff@davies170.fsnet.co.uk
  5. Ashley said on BikerFM and in Speedway Star that he plans to be back on a bike just after Christmas!
  6. Forecast was well wrong and steady rain by 7pm! Good dicision Which Swindon asset would you like? Korneliussen, Stead, Doyle, Zengota?
  7. On the website.... Tickets for the Legends Lounge package including a buffet and programme are available for £35 by calling 07003 921235. Admission for the meeting is £20 adults, £15 concessions, children 11-16 £7 and under 11s just £1.
  8. Why is it a big question as Gary has made his views clear on the subject and the demands to buy riders! The biggest problem with all this are the spin doctors/press that have released stories which always imflame fans and the lack of "Official" releases from the BSPA!Oh and to quote your original post "A proper club gets their cheque book out and buys the rider" Why has Mr Frost not done this with your 3 loan signings? Lack of money as all other clubs find themselves in? I will never understand why Mr Frost bought/would want all those heatleaders as they were never going to be all used at the same time?!
  9. Funny that nearly 50% (So far) of other teams assets make up the Peterborough team as well Oh and on the Play Off Final comment, you have to be in it to win it and can only beat what is in front of you, which the Robins were and did!
  10. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/10188513.Robins_finally_seal_deal_to_bring_back_Andersen/
  11. At the end of the day, it did King's Lynn no harm in announcing NKI so would make it hard for the BSPA to rule against it!!
  12. Sorry to see Zengi go but the big problem for Coventry will be having 4 Polish riders!! Good luck to Doyley as well at Brum!
