  1. Strange, as weather looks OK in Lynn tomorrow.
  2. Personally would prefer Georgie Wood than r/r as I think he'd go well on the track. Also am not a fan of 6 man teams as if anything happens it leaves you very vulnerable. Having said that, looking forward to it, may the best team win and more importantly come back safe and sound.
  3. Think it will be tight but have the Brummies as slight favourites especially if Eastbourne are without Wood. Their top end outguns Eastbourne's and their lower order should score better at home than they would at Arlington. Weather looks potentially iffy again... 47-43
  4. My apologies for not checking (hadn't been on forum for a few days). Will go back and have a look, no damage done.
  5. Any particular reason why anyone would have to be beware of me? And yes, Sherlock, my real name is Carlos.
  6. What's the poke, excuse my ignorance? Sorry, meant pokc.
  7. Classic Top Heavy vs Strength In Depth contest really with the Eagles never looking in much danger after heat 2. Ellis was imperious, without doubt best number 1 in league, Richard Andrews back on the gas straight away. Looking forward to the trip to Brum for the return, think the Brummies will edge it, but will the Eagles will keep it close all the way.
  8. Go via mid Sussex, avoid Worthing and Lancing and get onto the M23, adds a few miles but will save a lot of minutes.
  9. Brum have the better heat leaders but Eastbourne the strength in depth. A lot could depend on how rusty Georgie Wood and Richard Andrews are. Let's hope for an entertaining meeting and all riders come back safe and sound
  10. Unless Buxton are feeling like running a double header, we're going to struggle to get our fixtures in. Still, one match at a time...
  11. Birmingham now 7.30pm on Sunday due to weather, spread the word...
  12. Danny Ayres I'd a decent National League middle order rider but no match for Wright I'd say.
  13. Are Coventry even safe in the playoffs? Am not mischief making as am neutral but could they be caught?
  14. National League rider for Coventry who can do an ok job at that level..
  15. We wouldn't need all 4 pointers. We need to win all 6 of our remaining fixtures, that should be enough. If the Brummies take a point on Sunday then we'd need a 4 pointer or two. Cradley have 2 home and 5 away fixtures so I think they will just fall short (think K Lynn will win tonight). What a meeting instore at Birmingham on 2nd September! Let's hope all matches are completed and the weather doesn't decide it all...
  16. Weather forecast looks more promising now with a bit of rain around lunchtime but otherwise clear...
  17. A certain G Wood is back on Sunday, hopefully he's not coming back too early.
  18. Sorry to be the bringer of doom but the weather forecast for Sunday doesn't look too clever....
  19. Having seen us at Rye on Saturday. all things being equal and accidents aside, the Eagles reserves should tip the balance.
  20. Thoroughly enjoyable meeting with loads of good racing. Heat 13 was a classic and it's a shame Rye had such a poor start to season as they have a very decent team. Spiller was good and is an interesting prospect, Owen and Hopwood contributed greatly and Dugard/Wooley were more than worth their tallies, BWD great to watch as ever. Does Hume always ride like that? Very exciting but almost horizontal entering bends. Btw 'Junior fan', Spiller is not a German rider, he is English born and of English parentage, he happens to live there due to Armed Forces reasons. Thank the lord we're National League these days, wouldn't go back to Elite League for anything. Nice to have team spirit and togetherness, as the 200+ tickets sold for end of season Amex Stadium shindig show.
