Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025
alang replied to emilali's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Looks like it's now Berwick 'buy a camper van then change the tyres' Bandits 2025. Wonder if Jewson ran out of building materials after giving it all to the Bandits to prop up the league. -
It's been a long, complicated and difficult process fitting lots of blank dates into a blank calendar
-
Would be no surprise at all if they suddenly announced that a National Development League team had been invited to take part in the Championship KO cup to make an even number of teams but were allowed a few premiership guests to even the teams up.

If his ban ends around 12th July that's not mid season for us. That's usually nearly end of season the past couple of years. -

Sam Hagon or Nathan Ablitt or a new rider to the league ? -

At least it's a trophy. A few of the other teams in the league wont win anything. -
It's Poole therefore your maths is wrong

Unless it's just a photo of Bastian's back as it says page not found at the moment when you try and open it -

According to the website Bastian's back so that would just leave two. What about Sam Hagon if he could ride every week like he did when Poole were here in the summer as one of the remaining 2? -

If Bastian was away somewhere else or not fit after op would he not be ok as a reserve -

Absolutely no vision, no ambition and no competence being shown. Promoters?????.Think they would be better described as destroyers of the sport. I've had enough of them. I'm going to tear up this year's season ticket and bin it as a protest. -

Nowhere near old enough for Berwick - no matter what age he is -

In my humble opinion think he probably did as much as he could given the situation with injuries.Trying to get replacement riders or guests for a Saturday night track competing with Polish fixtures, lack of visas from Europe and a big shortage of speedway riders in general can't be easy.Thought Stuart Dickson was a fairly well respected team manager but obviously not in Cornhill. -

Given the number of guests in the league these days you'd be as well putting the top 18 available riders names in a hat and drawing out 2 for each team. -

Would going to a wedding not be classed as withholding your service or whatever its called, unless it was your own wedding.Fair enough for birth of your child which can't be planned for timing wise but not a wedding. -

Both would be around the end of the last century -
Or maybe speedway finished with him

At Glasgow do you not mean What is a budget? Or so all the other slightly envious posters think.

Scunny v Berwick KOC 17.05.24
alang replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You have to hope Stuart Dickson is limping badly tonight. At least that would prove he'd kicked 7 arses hard enough to break every bone in his foot -
Wouldn't you think that some clever person would think that there's a 5 week gap in home fixtures so that might be a good time to put shows, carnivals, car rallies on in the car park instead of causing total chaos arranging them when the speedway is on.Or alternatively don't arrange speedway meetings when all that other rubbish is on

Berwick v Glasgow , BSN thingy , 6/4/24 @7pm
alang replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Does that not seem a bit strange? If he was deemed unfit to race because of a non negative test you'd wonder if he was safe to be involved in the pits. Other posters seem keen to use the football analogy. Are they not sent to the dressing room after a red card. Don't think they are allowed to sit on the bench giving advice. Different sports I know but just seems bit weird to me - or maybe I'm just a bit weird. -

Is it getting closer to there being a case to test every rider before meetings rather than just random testing?
