King's Lynn V Scunthorpe (nl) - Friday 27th July 2012
moosetash64 replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
He decided he is taking a break from speedway. -
Talking of the youth championship(u16's). What about former mascot adam kirby, who was actually leading championship until he broke his hand at buxton and missed the last 2 rounds. He knows the track and was popular with fans when he was mascot there.

Buxton Vs Sheffield/scunthorpe
moosetash64 replied to Fozzie4388's topic in National League Speedway
Thank you to all the people who wished adam kirby a speedy recovery after his crash on sunday. He has broken a bone in his right hand and his left hand has severe bruising and cuts to it. Adam is very disappointed with the way things turned out and feels as if he let the team down a bit by crashing out so early as he was really looking forward to riding for scunthorpe as a guest. He was very nervous before the meeting wondering if he was going to be on the pace but i think he proved in those first 2 bends that he was going to be!!! He is already talking about when he can get back on his bike and look for a team place next season (fingers crossed), maybe even with scunthorpe. Just hav to wait and see what happens between now and next season. -

Thanx halifax. I'm pleased that adam won but it wasn't the best i've seen him ride not by a long way. He told me he rode as hard as he needed to. He could have gone much faster but why do that and risk falling off when the track was very tricky in places, it was catching a lot of riders out. -
The young lad in the red kevlars, adam kirby, who pulled up in his first ride after the ippo match didn't hav an ef but he had hurt his hip/pelvis at school on the monday. I had sed no to him riding but adam sed he wanted to giv it a go but found as soon as he started he was in too much pain so did the sensible thing and pulled up. He was gutted not to take any further part of the 2nd hlf cus all he wants to do is ride.

Lets all us fen tiger supporters put our positive heads on and then maybe, just maybe somethin good will come out of this glimmer of hope. Resulting in the fen tigers taking to the track this season.

Maybe i'm being a tad suspicious but it seems to me that the bspa never had any intention of letting steve ribbons be a promoter at mildenhall so came up with the idea of asking for these ludicrous payments in a hope that it would put him off. When steve agreed to pay all these fees the bspa panicked and thought up the idea of a secret ballot!! Did a ballot actually take place or did they just say it did, but i doubt we will ever know the truth to that!! Like others have said on here if they didn't want steve ribbons running mildenhall then why didn't they say so earlier so that dave coventry had time to find someone else to run it instead.

British Under 15's Championship 2007

I don't want to be one to speak ill of the dead but garry i hav to disagree with statement abt pat bint or jolly knobster as I use to call him. I thought the bloke was a complete idiot after he wrote some very harsh comments abt my son after he had got to the final of one of the u15's rounds 2 seasons ago (2009). It was really uncalled for and bang out of order. What made it worse was the fact the neither me or my son said anything abt him getting to the final, it was actually someone else saying how I must hav been proud of my sons achievements. Now i'm not a violent person but the things he said if had met him i wud hav punched his lights out. Along with a few other people i know, mainly my sons mum and his aunty. -
Mildenhall - Who Decides Who The New Promoter Is?
moosetash64 replied to FenTiger666's topic in National League Speedway
The concrete blocks are placed round the inside of the bends to stop the stock cars from cuttting the corners. They are removed prior to a speedway meeting as i'm sure u'd understand, with each block weighing best part of a ton, nobody would want a rider to hit one of them! -
Thanks neil for your comments about adam. I was really pleased with his performance as u are aware but others arnt, the practice on the saturday was actually the first time adam had ever rode a 250. So to go on and score 7pts and also get a heat win was really pleasing. Adam has already said that he wants to have another go next year and hopefully give a better showing of himself. I also want to say well done to ash, he rode brilliantly and if it wasnt for the tape exclusion in his first ride then things could have turned out very differntly!!!!

Yes we did read your comment carefully, you hit the nail on the head your dad was proud of you playing football, did you play for man utd, liverpool, newcastle no i think not but he was still proud of every kick you made. How many matches have been won by own goals should they have never celebrated a win.As far as you commenting on parents living there dreams through juniour speedway, most would disagree or be affended, i enjoyed doing stock car racing and gave adam the choice to do it ,but he wanted to do speedway so i gave it up. As a good parent you help them fullfill there own dreams and your proud of them whatever they achieve nomatter how small or big.Adam said himself his goal this year was to just reach the semis because there is so many good riders in the under 15s ,which he managed to do and all of them battled for the first place, so to actually make it to the finals was a great achievement .this is all the comments were going to make because your not worth it .We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate ashl and robert on winning there respective finals you both deserved it and ALL other riders who made it such a good day,and dont you think this is what we should be talking about. -

I would also like to say there may have only been 7 riders at the start and 5 at the finish, but all 7 riders rode their hearts out regardless of where they came, as did the riders of the 250's. All the people that turned up to give their support to the lads wouldn't have gone home disappointed? I believe this by the applause all the riders got at the end of each and every race! I must also add that it was a delight to see how supportive each rider was towards each other by way of praising and congratulating them after thier races. Good luck to all riders in both the 250 & 500 classes in the remaining rounds and dont let people who leave negative comments get to you!!!! Hope both kyle and daryl make a speedy recovery?. -

Jolly roger? you dont sound very jolly to me? I'm the father of young Adam Kirby and if i want to get excited about my son reaching the final then i will do. I dont know you or if you have ever riden a speedway bike before, but this is adams first year of competitive racing and after what happened to adam in his first heat when he totally flipped his bike on the start line, then i would have understood if adam went out in his remaining races and just pottered round. He didnt do this to his credit and he won his semi-final to reach the final. Yes ok he came 4th in the final but he still had to ride his bike to do this and seeing as he had 3 rides without much of a break (heat 18,semi-final then final) then i hope even someone like you can understand why i was so pleased for him and what he achieved? If thats not enough for you just have a look at the standings after the newport round and you will see that adam was down in =7th place so reaching the final at weymouth would have been a massive confidence booster for him so i would rather not have idiots coming on here and knockin him down again? One other thing you should think about and that is adam is only just 14 and rides on average once a fortnite because of my work comitments where some other youngsters, and i'm not having a moan about it, are riding sometimes riding twice/three times a week?. -
Under 16's Meeting At Buxton --sun Oct 19th
moosetash64 replied to Main Man's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Hi Laurence As you have guessed Adam is very disappointed but like you said his time will come (next season) . I would also like to say a big thank you for all you have done for adam by giving him his chance to do some demo laps at mildenhall this season. Adam is pleased with the progress he has made this year and hopes he can carrry on improving for the remainder of this year by getting some practice sessions somewhere. -

Thanks to Nikko and Halifax tiger for the support they are showing for me. I just hope i can give a good account of myself as this will be my first competitive meeting. Also hope i can keep my nerves under control as this will be the first time i have been out with three other riders at the same time. Also thanks to Laurence Rogers and mildenhall speedway for giving me the chance to ride. Many thanks Adam Kirby.
