In the original planning meeting November 2022 the councillors who rejected the proposal were adamant that the affordable housing would be in the wrong place, with little or no local amenities schools must be a factor Binley woods primary school is opposite the stadium but have they the capacity? however high school wise under Warwickshire Bilton or rugby schools must be 7 miles away. coventry wise I don’t know.

Warren hunter is the ex stock car person who indeed is not short of a bob or two. David carter is part of the save Coventry speedway and stock car campaign group. equally looking forward to Matt Ford speak I am sure he will have prepared and be ready to fight his corner.
-
We have to skewer them with their own BS £13.6m to remove the grandstand that £109k per house how is that viable. hunter did say £51m turnover
-
Phil morris to be applauded, skewered the opposition ,the decaying sport statement got right under his skin. CVS was quality as well rebutting the argument that wolves have folded because it wasn’t viable. first day goes to the good guys

Best of luck to the campaign group starting Tuesday give those Brandon estates types a 5 -1 in every argument. up the bees

I am glad not to be the only one, zero entertainment I gave up after 5 races and that was on pause due to the delay. -
Condolences to both families I bought my first car off Jim lightfoot a Ford capri. he was smashing bloke he lived not far from Brandon in the countryside near Wolston used to drive by his house on the way to Brandon Saturday nights in the 60s 70 s with my dad. Happy days

Just got to hold on.
-
Same as most years then
-
That’s 100% correct. Anyways Happy new year up the Bees
-
Well this is all good news hopefully. in the planning meeting one off the councillors whilst supporting saving the stadium was concerned it didn’t remain derelict for another number of years. I am sure the campaign group are all over this and this can be of a mutual benefit to speedway stocks and the community . up the bees

Brandon estates Not having a good month are they ,i don’t know what tariffs were available but at least they got rinsed with the court costs. Additionally Coventry uni have plans to install a 3G pitch which weakens any perceived need for one at Brandon. Happy days Up the Bees
-
That is most definitely correct and I don’t see how Brandon estates get around the loss of the stadium argument. of course they can just sit on it for another decade. hopefully they will get hammered in the courts next week.

Full kudos to SCS team Credit to the gallery Tony Gillias top man the councillors saw through the bullrubbish and voted correctly I know BE will appeal but a unanimous refusal must put them on the back foot at least

There is a stream on the rugby bc website planning committee now but technical issues with the sound, on item 1 somebody sounds like they are beatboxing not talking.
-
Absolutely at every step the scs team have eviscerated the arguments of Brandon estates and shown rugby bc to be biased .

Coventry stadium’s fate will now be at the November 9 planning meeting of Rugby bc.
