There were only 8 heats printed in the programme too apparently(I didn`t go)... There were only 8 heats scheduled for the final last year too...at Mildenhall. So 8 heat finals are the norm then.

Brendan Johnson seems an adequate replacement for Franklin(on last nights showing)...Adam Portwood however is no replacement for Stoneman.
